 Իրանի ու Հայաստանի միջև առանց վիզայի ռեժիմ սահմանելը քաղաքական լուրջ քայլ էր: Այս մասին «Արմենպրես»-ի հետ զրույցում նշեց Իրանի խորհրդարանում հայազգի պատգամավոր Կարեն Խանլարյանը: «Այդ կարգի ռեժիմ սահմանելն ընդհանրապես կայանում է դաշնակից կամ բարեկամ երկրների միջև: Հետևաբար նմ ան որոշումը քաղաքական լուրջ ժեստ էր Իրանի ու Հայաստանի կողմից: Առանց վիզայի ռեժիմը, բնականաբար, առաջին հերթին տուրիզմի վրա է դրական ազդեցություն թողնելու, դրանից բացի, նպաստելու է տարբեր բնագավառներում կողմերի գործակցության ակտիվացմանը»,-ասաց Կարեն Խանլարյանը:

Նրա խոսքով, առաջիկայում ակտիվություն սպասվում է, որովհետև նախ կան երկկողմ համագործակցությունն առավել զարգացնելու լուրջ հեռանկարներ, ինչպես նաև պատրաստակամություն:

«Բավական մեծ հեռանկարներ կան: Դիտարկվում է Հայաստանը որպես տարանցիկ երկիր դառնալու տարբերակը, կա էներգետիկ ռեսուրսների տեղափոխման հեռանկար, Իրան-Հայաստան երկաթգծի ծրագիրը, տուրիզմը, առևտրի ոլորտը: Ինչպես տեսնում եք ուղղությունները շատ են: Այսօր այդ ամենի վերաբերյալ հնչում են դեկլարատիվ հայտարություներ, բայց համոզված եմ, որ դրանք հիմք են դառնալու հետագա գործնական քայլերի համար: Այդ ամենը վկայում են այն մասին, որ շոշափելի ապագայում գործնական քայլեր հաստատ կլինեն: Մանավանդ, որ իրանցի գործարարների շրջանում մեծ հետաքրություն կա: Հայաստանը Եվրասիական միության անդամ է, և քննարկվում է Հայաստանի միջոցով այլ երկրներ դուրս գալու գաղափարը»,-ասաց Կարեն Խանլարյանն` ընդգծելով, որ Իրանում հայ համայնքը, հայազգի գործիչները ևս  նպաստելու են երկկողմ հարաբերությունների առավել զարգացմանը:

Անդրադառնալով Արտաքին գործերի նախարար Էդվարդ Նալնբանդյանի այցին Իրան և այնտեղ տեղի ունեցած հանդիպումներին` Կարեն Խանլարյանը նշեց, որ ինքն անձամբ ներկա է եղել Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանի և Իրանի խորհրդարանի խոսնակի հետ հանդիպմանը:

«Պարոն նախարարը հանգամանորեն ներկայացրել է քառօրյա պատերազմի բոլոր կողմերը թե ռազմական, թե քաղաքական տեսնակյունից: Խոսվեց նաև ղարաբաղյան կոնֆլիկտում երրորդ, չորրորդ երկրների միջամտության մասին:  Իրանն այդ կապակցութամբ ունի սկզբունքային մոտեցում, խնդիրը պետք է լուծվի բանակցություններով: Իրանը դեմ է պատերազմական գործղություններով հարցի լուծմանը»,-հավելեց Կարեն Խանլարյանը: Նա հատկանշական համարեց այն, որ Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանն հատուկ անդրադարձավ ընդհանուր շահեր ներկայացնող հարցերի, օրինակ ահաբեկչության դեմ պայքարին:
