Հայաստանում գործում են տարեցների շուրջօրյա խնամքի 8 հաստատություն (ծերանոցներ), որտեղ բնակվում է 1250 տարեց անձ, տնային պայմաններում խնամքի 2 ծառայություններ, որոնք տներում սպասարկում են ավելի քան 4000 տարեցի, և ցերեկային կենտրոններ տարեց մարդկանց համար: Այս մասին հոկտեմբերի 1-ին Տարեցների միջազգային օրվան ընդառաջ լրագրողների հետ հանդիպման ընթացքում ասաց ՀՀ աշխատանքի և սոցիալական հարցերի նախարարության տարեցների հիմնահարցերի բաժնի պետ Անահիտ Գևորգյանը:

«ՀՀ սոցիալական քաղաքականությունը տարեցների ոլորտում իր առաջնահերթություններից է համարում տարեցների կյանքի որակի բարելավումը: Չեմ կարող ասել, որ այն լիարժեք է իրականանում, սակայն մենք փորձում ենք քայլ առ քայլ իրականացնել միջոցառումներ, որպեսզի կարողանանք տարեցների համար ապահովել արժանապատիվ պայմաններ»,- ասաց Անահիտ Գևորգյանը:

Ներկայացնելով նախարարության կողմից իրականացվող ծրագրերը՝ Անահիտ Գևորգյանը խոսեց ոչ նյութական ապահովության՝ տարեցների սոցիալական խնամքի ծառայության մասին: «Այսօր պետությունը այդ ծառայությունները տրամադրելու համար բյուջեից տրամադրում է ավելի քան 2,5 միլիարդ դրամ», - հավելեց Անահիտ Գևորգյանը:

Չբավարարվելով իրավիճակով՝ ՀՀ աշխատանքի և սոցիալական հարցերի նախարարությունը 2012 թ. մշակել է ծերացման հետևանքների հաղթահարման և տարեցների սոցիալական պաշտպանության վերաբերյալ ռազմավարություն, որը բխում է Մարդկության ծերացման մադրիդյան ռազմավարությունից, որի կատարումը Հայաստանի համար պարտադիր է:

«Այս ռազմավարության բաղադրիչներից մի քանիսն արդեն իրականացվել են, և սեպտեմբերի 18-ին ընդունվեց Տարեցների նոր սոցիալական ծառայությունների տրամադրման հայեցակարգ, որն առաջին անգամ շեշտ է դրել ոչ միայն մեր հնարավորությունների սահմաններում տարեցներին ծառայությունների տրամադրման, այլ նաև տարեցների կարիքների գնահատման հիմամբ ծառայությունների մատուցման վրա»,- տեղեկացրեց Անահիտ Գևորգյանը:
