Հայկական բարեգործական ընդհանուր միության Մոնրեալի կենտրոնակայանի ղեկավար Շահե Տանաչյանը Հայոց ցեղասպանությանը նվիրված միջոցառման շրջանակում հանդիպել է Կանադայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Ստեֆան Դիոնին` քննարկել Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտությանը և Հայաստանի ու Կանադայի երկկողմ հարաբերություններին առնչվող հարցեր:

Տանաչյանը Դիոնին կոչ է արել ԼՂ հիմնախնդրի հարցում ցուցաբերել հստակ դիրքորոշում և ոչ միայն կողմերին հորդորել հարգել հրադադարի ռեժիմը, այլ նաև դատապարտել Ադրբեջանի նախաձեռնած ռազմական գործողությունները: «Կանադան պետք է խստորեն դատապարտի ցանկացած տեսակի բռնություն և հորդորի Ադրբեջանին ` վերադառնալ բանակցությունների սեղանին ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի շրջանակում` գտնելու ԼՂ հակամարտության խաղաղ կարգավորումը»,- ասել է Տանաչշյանը:

ԱՄՆ-ում և Կանադայում Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի Հանրապետության ներկայացուցիչ Ռոբերտ Ավեստիսյանն իր հերթին խոսել է Հայոց ցեղասպանության, ԼՂ հակամարտության կարգավորման, Արցախի` Ադրբեջանի կազմում լինելու անհնարինության և ԼՂՀ-ի անկախության մասին: « Ադրբեջանի կողմից Արցախի դեմ վերջին ագրեսիայի ժամանակ հայ ազգը ևս մեկ անգամ ցույց տվեց իր միասնությունը: Ռազմի դաշտում հայ զինվորների քաջությունն ու հերոսությունը հերթական անգամ ապացուցեց, որ մեկ այլ Հայոց ցեղասպանություն իրականացնելու փորձերը կհանգեցնեն անկախատեսելի և ողբերգական հետևանքների ագրեսորների համար»,- ասել է Ավետիսյանը:
