 Հայաստանի Հանրապետության Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի, Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոս Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Բ-ի և Կաթոլիկ եկեղեցու հրավերով այսօր Հայաստան է ժամանել Հռոմի Պապ Նորին Սրբություն Ֆրանցիսկոսը:

Ինչպես տեղեկանում ենք ՀՀ նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության եւ տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Հռոմի Սրբազան Քահանայապետ Ֆրանցիսկոս Պապի Հայաստանի Հանրապետություն այցի կարգախոսն է՝ «Այց առաջին քրիստոնյա երկի ր»: Այցի պաշտոնական տարբերանշանի մեջ օգտագործված են բիբլիական Արարատը և Հայաստանում քրիստոնեության տարածման առումով բացառիկ նշանակություն ունեցող սրբավայրը` Խոր Վիրապի վանքը:

Երևանի «Զվարթնոց» միջազգային օդանավակայանում տեղի է ունեցել Հռոմի Պապի դիմավորման պաշտոնական արարողությունը: Սրբազան Քահանայապետին դիմավորել են Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը տիկնոջ հետ և Նորին Սուրբ Օծություն Տեր Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը: Դիմավորման պաշտոնական պատվիրակությունների կազմում եղել են պետական պաշտոնյաներ, դիվանագետներ, Հայ Առաքելական և Կաթոլիկ Եկեղեցիների եպիսկոպոսներ:

Օդանավակայանում Ֆրանցիսկոս Պապին հայկական միջնադարյան շարականների կատարմամբ ողջունել են «Հայաստանի փոքրիկ երգիչներ» երգչախմբի սաները: Ազգային տարազով երեխաները Հռոմի Պապին մատուցել են հայկական ծիրան և ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՈ-ի ոչ նյութական ժառանգության ցանկերում ընդգրկված հայկական լավաշ:

«Զվարթնոց» միջազգային օդանավակայանի նախագահական սրահում Հանրապետության Նախագահի և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոս Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Բ-ի հետ կարճատև զրույցից հետո, Սրբազան Քահանայապետը մեկնել է Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածին, որտեղ նախատեսված է Բարիգալստյան` «Հրաշափառի» արարողությունը:
