ՀՀ Նախագահի նստավայրում սկսվել է Հռոմի Սրբազան Քահանայապետ Ֆրանցիսկոս Պապի ընդունելությունը, որտեղ նախատեսված է հանդիպում ՀՀ իշխանությունների, հասարակայնության և Երևանում հավատարմագրված դիվանագիտական կորպուսի ներկայացուցիչների հետ: Մինչ այդ, Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը և Սրբազան Քահանայապետը ՀՀ Նախագահի նստավայրի «Ոսկեզօծ» դահլիճում առանձնազրույց են ունեցել:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Նախագահը երախտագիտություն է հայտնել Նորին Սրբությանը՝ Հայաստան այցի հրավերն ընդունելու և առաջին քրիստոնյա երկիր այցելելու, մեր հինավուրց հողին և բազմաչարչար ժողովրդին օրհնություն և ջերմություն բերելու համար:

Հանդիպումից հետո, արարողակարգի համաձայն, տեղի է ունեցել նվերների փոխանակում: ՀՀ Նախագահը Հռոմի Պապին նվիրել է «Տիեզերական Եկեղեցու վարդապետ» հռչակված Աստվածաշնորհ Սուրբ Գրիգոր Նարեկացու բրոնզե արձանիկը:

Նախագահի նստավայրում Սրբազան Քահանայապետի այցի ժամանակ մարվել և «Հայփոստ» ՓԲԸ-ի կողմից շրջանառության մեջ են դրվել «Հռոմի Պապ Ֆրանցիսկոսի այցը Հայաստան» թեմային նվիրված մեկ նամականիշով գեղաթերթիկ և չորս նամականիշ, որոնք ձևավավորված են խաչի տեսքով՝ մեկ մանրաթերթի մեջ: Հանրապետության Նախագահը դրանք ևս նվիրել է Ֆրանցիսկոս Պապին:

Մեկ նամականիշով գեղաթերթիկը պատկերում է Նորին Սրբություն Ֆրանցիսկոս Պապին՝ Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնի Մայր Տաճարի և Հռոմի Սբ Պետրոս տաճարի խորապատկերին, ինչպես նաև Պապի հայաստանյան այցին նվիրված տարբերանշանը և Ֆրանցիսկոս Պապի զինանշանը: Չորս նամականիշով մանրաթերթի խաչի տեսքով ձևաչափը կրում է խորհրդանշական իմաստ՝ ցույց տալով առաջին քրիստոնեական երկիր Ֆրանցիսկոս Պապի կատարելիք այցը, իսկ մանրաթերթի չորս նամականիշերը պատկերում են Ֆրանցիսկոս Պապին՝ Հայաստանի կողմից Վատիկանին նվիրաբերած Սուրբ Գրիգոր Լուսավորչի արձանի, Երևանի «Հայ աստանը առաջին քրիստոնեական պետություն» անվանումով հուշարձանի, Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնի Մայր Տաճարի և Վատիկանի Սուրբ Պետրոս տաճարի գմբեթների ներսի խորապատկերներին:

Հայաստանի Հանրապետության կենտրոնական բանկի կողմից թողարկվել է Նորին Սրբություն Հռոմի Պապ Ֆրանցիսկոսի Հայաստանի Հանրապետություն այցին նվիրված հուշամեդալ: Ֆրանցիսկոս Պապը ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանից նվեր է ստացել նաև այդ հուշամեդալը, որի դիմերեսին՝ Խոր Վիրապի վանքն է Արարատ լեռան ֆոնի վրա և Ֆրանցիսկոս Պապի այցի թվագրումը, իսկ դարձերեսին՝ Սուրբ Գրիգոր Լուսավորչի արձանը Վատիկանի Սուրբ Պետրոս տաճարի արտաքին որմնախորշում, Հայաստանյայց Առաքելական Սուրբ Եկեղեցու և Հռոմի Կաթողիկե Եկեղեցու զինանշանները:

Հռոմի Պապ Ֆրանցիսկոսը ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանին նվիրել է Հայաստանի Հանրապետություն իր այցի առիթով հատուկ պատրաստված հուշամեդալի մայր օրինակը:
