Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հակամարտության բոլոր կողմերը պետք է ջանքեր գործադրեն խնդրին տևական լուծում տալու համար: 

Երևանում այս մասին հայտարարեց Գերմանիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար, ԵԱՀԿ գործող նախագահ Ֆրանկ-Վալտեր Շտայնմայերը:

«Ինչպես այս առճակատման կողմերին, այնպես էլ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահներին, պարզ է դարձել, որ տևականորեն ստատուս քվոն այսպես հնարավոր չէ պահպանել: Որքան ավելի շատ է տևում այս հակամարտությունը, այնքան մեծանում է ռազմական էսկալյացիայի ռիսկը: Այդ պատճառով մենք պետք է ջանանք խուսափել այս իրավիճակից: ԵԱՀԿ-ն, ես, որպես գործող համանախագահ, պետք է հաստատակամորեն  ջանքեր գործադրենք, որ այս հակամարտության համար տևական լուծում գտնենք»,-ասաց Շտայնմայերը: 

Նա կարևորեց հանգամանքը, որ Հայաստանի ու Ադրբեջանի նախագահների հանդիպումները հաճախակիացել են: Այս իմաստով` նախարարը առաջընթաց համարեց շփման գծում իրավիճակի հանդարտեցումը` այն գնահատելով որպես բոլոր կողմերի ջանքերի արդյունք:  «Պետք է ասել, որ մենք սկզբունքորեն ճիշտ ճանապարհին ենք: Մենք հիմա ամեն բան պետք է գործադրենք, որ այս իրավիճակը պահպանենք, ապա պետք է փորձենք բանակցային գործընթացը նյութական դարձնել: Դրա համար մեզ անրաժեշտ է ԵԱՀԿ-ի ջանքերը, անհրաժեշտ է Միսնկի խմբի համանախագահների ջանքերը, դրան ավելանում է նաև կոնֆլիկտի կողմե րի փոխզիջման գնալու պատրաստակամությունը»,-ավելացրեց Գերմանիայի ԱԳ նախարարը:

ՀՀ ԱԳ նախարար Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանի հրավերով հունիսի 29-30-ը  Հայաստան է այցելելԳերմանիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար, ԵԱՀԿ գործող նախագահ Ֆրանկ-Վալտեր Շտայնմայերը: Գերմանիայի արտգործնախարարին կընդունի Հանրապետության Նախագահը։ 

Հունիսի 29-ին Հայաստանի և Գերմանիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարարների բանակցություններից հետո Էդվարդ Նալբանդյանն ու Ֆրանկ-Վալտեր Շտայնմայերը հանդես եկան համատեղ մամլո ասուլիսով։
