Երկար մազեր ունենալն արդեն հաճույք է: Հաճույք է նաև մազերը հավաքելու համար տարատեսակ մազակալներ, կապիչներ, ամրակներ գնելը: Սակայն, ցավոք, մազերի գեղեցիկ աքսեսուարները ոչ միայն լրացնում են մեր մազերի հարդարանքը և զարդարում սանրվածքը, այլև հաճախ վնասում են գլխի մաշկը:

Դեռևս հին Եգիպտոսում կանայք սիրում էին օգտագործել մազակալներ: Ժամանակի ընթացքում կանանց սերն ու հետաքրքրությունը գեղեցիկ մազակալների նկատմամբ չնվազեց: Օգտագործում էին ժապավեններ, թանկարժեք քարերով և թանկարժեք մետաղներից մազակալներ, որոնք ավելի շատ մշակույթի գործեր էին հիշեցնում:

Իսկ ի՞նչ առաջարկ այսօր մենք ունենք խանութներում: Գրեթե բոլոր առաջարկվող մազակալները, կապիչները, գամասեղները անորակ են, պատրաստված կոպիտ մետաղներից: Այդ պատճառով էլ մասնագետները հորդորում են մազակալներ գնելիս առավել ուշադիր լինել, քանի որ դրանց անորակության պատճառով հաճախ վատանում է նաև մազերի որակը:

Նույնը վերաբերվում է նաև մազակալներին: Մազակալներ գնելիս համոզվեք, որ ամրացման մեխանիզմը որոկով է, չի քաշի մազերը և հեշտությամբ կարելի է հանել գլխից: Գամասեղների և ամրակների հաճախակի օգտագործումը ցանկալի չէ մազերի համար: Մազերը պետք է հանգստանան «մեխանիկական»  ազդեցությունից:

Առողջ և որակով մազեր ունենալու համար պետք է օգտագործել պաշտպանիչ հեղուկներ: Այն նաև կպաշտպանի մազերը արտաքին միջավայրի ազդեցությունից, կդարձնի ենթարկվող, փայլող և ծավալուն:

Պոչը սանրվածք է, որը միշտ նորաձև է, և այն ստանալու համար հիմնականում պահանջվում է մազերի ռետինե կապիչներ: Ժամանակի ընթացքում դրանք պոկվում են, բայց հաճախ, մինչև վերջնական կտրվելը, մենք այն օգտագործում ենք կիսակտրված, ճաքած վիճակում, առանց հասկանալու, որ հենց նման ճաքերն են մազերի ճյուղավորման պատճառ դառնում:
