Ռուսաստանից վտանգ է բխում, սակայն ՆԱՏՕ-ն չի որոնում ՌԴ-ի հետ հակամարտություն, հայտարարել է դաշինքի գլխավոր քարտուղար Յենս Ստոլտենբերգը:

«Վարշավայում ՆԱՏՕ-ի գագաթաժողովը կհրավիրվի մեր անվտանգության համար վճռորոշ պահի»,- ասել է նա գերմանական Welt am Sonntag պարբերականին տված հարցազրույցում, որը հրապարակվել է հուլիսի 3-ին:

Ստոլտենբերգի խոսքով՝ Հյուսիսատլանտյան դաշինքի մասնակիցները բախվում են «չկանխատեսված վտանգների և բարդ խնդիրների, որոնց թվում է նաև Ռուսաստանը, որը պատրաստ է ուժ կիրառել հանուն սահմանների փոփոխության»:

«Սակայն ՆԱՏՕ-ն չի որոնում հակամարտություն, Սառը պատերազմը պատմություն է, որն այդպես էլ պետք է մնա»,- հավաստիացրել է ՆԱՏՕ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարը:

Բացի ՆԱՏՕ-ի մյուս վտանգներից՝ Ստոլտենբերգը թվարկել է Մերձավոր և Միջին Արևելքի, ինչպես նաև Հյուսիսային Աֆրիկայի անկայունությունը, ինչն իր հերթին հանգեցնում է հետևանքների՝ ի դեմս ահաբեկչության և զանգվածային միգրացիայի:

ՆԱՏՕ-ի վարշավյան գագաթաժողովում, որը նախատեսված է հուլիսի 8-9-ը, պետք է որոշում ընդունվի Հյուսիսատլանտյան դաշինքի արագ արձագանքման ուժերի տեղակայման մասին Լեհաստանում և Բալթյան երկրներում:
