ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահ Բարաք Օբաման Ռուսաստանի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինի հետ կայացած հեռախոսազրույցի ժամանակ պատրաստակամություն Է հայտնել Ռուսաստանի հետ ակտիվացնելու ջանքերը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հիմնախնդրի կարգավորման ուղղությամբ: Այս մասին ասված Է երկու ղեկավարների բանակցությունների վերաբերյալ Սպիտակ տան տարածած հաղորդագրության մեջ, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը: 

«Նախագահ Օբաման պատրաստակամություն Է հայտնել Ռուսաստանի եւ Ֆրանսիայի՝ որպես Եվրոպայի անվտանգության եւ համագործակցության կազմակերպության (ԵԱՀԿ)՝ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահների հետ ակտիվացնելու ջանքերը՝ Լեռնային Ղարաբարի հակամարտության համապարփակ կարգավորման հասնելու նպատակով»,- ասված Է հայտարարության մեջ:

Ավելի վաղ Կրեմլի մամուլի ծառայությունը հաղորդել Էր, որ Պուտինը հեռախոսով Օբամային՝ որպես Լեռնային Ղարաբաղի հիմնախնդրի կարգավորման ԵԱՀԿ-ի Մինսկի խմբի (Ռուսաստան, ԱՄՆ, Ֆրանսիա) համանախանգահ երկրի ղեկավարի իրազեկել Էր հունիսի 20-ին Սակտ Պետերբուրգում Ադրբեջանի եւ Հայաստանի ղեկավարներ Իլհամ Ալիեւի եւ Սերժ Սարգսյանի հետ կայացած  եռակողմ հանդիպման արդյունքների մասին: Երկու պետությունների ղեկավարների միջեւ զրույցը կայացել Է ռուսաստանյան կողմի նախաձեռնությամբ:   

«Պուտինն ընդգծել Է, որ բանակցություններ կազմակերպելիս Ռուսաստանը հիմք Է ընդունել հակամարտության գոտում իրադրության շուտափույթ կայունացմանն աջակցելու եւ հաշտության գործընթացի առաջշարժման համար պայմաններ ստեղծելու անհրաժեշտությունը»,- ասված Է հաղորդագրության մեջ:

«Բարաք Օբաման բարձր գնահատական Է տվել Ռուսաստանի ձեռնարկած ջանքերին: Համաձայնություն Է ձեռք բերվել ԵԱՀԿ-ի Մինսկի խմբի շրջանակներում շարունակելու համատեղ ակտիվ աշխատանքն այդ կարեւոր ուղղությամբ»,- ՏԱՍՍ-ին հաղորդել են Կրեմլում:
