Քլիվլենդ քաղաքում (Օհայոյի նահանգ) հուլիսի 18-ին բացվում Է ԱՄՆ-ի Հանրապետական կուսակցության ազգային համագումարը: Համագումարի պատվիրակները պետք Է միլիարդատեր Դոնալդ Թրամփին եւ Ինդիանիայի նահանգապետ Մայքլ Փենսին առաջադրեն համապատասխանաբար ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի եւ փոխնախագահի պաշտոնների թեկնածուներ, ինչպես նաեւ հաստատեն կուսակցության քաղաքական պլատֆորմը,  տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը:  

Համաժողովի չորս օրվա ընթացքում, որը կավարտվի հուլիսի 21-ին, դրա ամբիոնից ելույթ կունենան տասնյակ քաղաքական,  հասարակական  գործիչներ եւ նշանավոր դեմքեր: Ազդեցիկ հանրապետականների թվում, որոնց վստահվել Է ելույթ ունենալ, նշված են Կոնգրեսի Ներկայացուցիչների պալատի խոսնակ Փոլ Ռայանը, Ներկայացուցիչների պալատում մեծամասնության առաջնորդ Քեւին Մաքարթին, Սենատում մեծամասնության առաջնորդ Միտչ Մակքոնելը եւ Հանրապետական կուսակցության Ազգային կոմիտեի նախագահ Ռայնս Փրիբեսը:    

Լրացուցիչ Էշելոնում կլինեն Նյու Ջերսիի նահանգապետ Քրիս Քրիստին, նյարդավիրաբույժ Բեն Քարսոնը եւ Արքանզայի նախկին նահանգապետ Մայք Հաքաբին՝ Թրամփի նախկին մրցակիցներն Սպիտաւկ տան համար պայքարում, որոնք դուրս են եկել մրցավազքից, սակայն այնուհետեւ անցել են միլիարդատիրոջ կողմը:    

Մինչդեռ, հանրապետականների մի ամբողջ կոհորտա, որոնք բացահայտորեն իրենց անհամաձայնությունն են հայտնում միլիարդատիրոջ հայացքներին, հրավիրված չԷ ելույթ ունենալու համագումարում: Դրանք են Միտչ Ռոմնին, սենատոր Ջոն Մակքեյնը, նախկին նախագահներ Ջորջ Բուշ Կրտեսրը եւ Ջորջ Բուշ Ավագը, ինչպես նաեւ նախընտրական արշավում Թրամփի նախկին մրցակիցներ՝ Ֆլորիդայի նախկին նահանգապետ Ջեբ Բուշը, սենատոր Մարկո Ռուբիոն եւ Օհայոյի նահանգապետ Ջոն Քեյսիքը: Նրանք բոլորը բոյկոտում են միջոցառումը՝ նկատի առնելով իրենց եւ Թրամփի միջեւ անընդունելի հակասությունները , որը նորեկ Է համարվում քաղաքականության մեջ եւ օտար կուսակցության «ընտրախավում», հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
