ՄԱԿ-ն առաջին անգամ խոստովանել է իր առնչությունը Հաիթիում բռնկած խոլերայի համաճարակի հետ

ՄԱԿ-ն օգոստոսի 18-ին առաջին անգամ հրապարակավ խոստովանել Է, որ դեր Է խաղացել 2010 թվականին Հաիթիում խոլերայի համաճարակի բռնկման մեջ, որն այս պահի դրությամբ շուրջ ինը հազար մարդու կյանք Է խլել:

Ինչպես լրագրողներին հայտարարել Է ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի պաշտոնական ներկայացուցչի տեղակալ Ֆարխան Խաքը, համաշխարհային կազմակերպության ղեկավարությունը հանգել Է այն եզրակացության, որ ինքը պետք Է «շատ ավելին անի», որպեսզի մեղմացնի մարդկանց տառապանքները:       

Իր զեկույցում, որն օգոստոսի 8-ին ուղարկվել Է Պան Գի Մունին, նա հանգել Է այն եզրակացության, որ խոլերայի համաճարակը «չԷր սկսվի, եթե չլինեին ՄԱԿ-ի գործողությունները»: Ինչպես հայտարարել Է Ֆարխան Խաքը, ՄԱԿ-ի կողմից նոր քայլերի մասին «կհայտարարվի հետագա երկու ամսվա ընթացքում այն բանց հետո, երբ դրանք կվերլուծվեն ու կհամաձայնեցվեն Հաիթիի իշխանությունների հետ եւ կքննարկվեն կազմակերպության անդամ երկրների հետ»:     

2010 թվականի հոկտեմբերից ի վեր Հաիթիում խոլերայից մահացել Է շուրջ ինը հազար մարդ, իսկ հիվանդացածների թիվը գերազանցել Է 700 հազարը: Տեղացի բնակիչների եւ համաճարակաբանների կարծիքով՝ հիվանդության տարածմանը հանգեցրել Է կեղտաջրերի նետումն Արտիբոնիտ գետ ՄԱԿ-ի նեպալցի խաղաղապահների ճամբարից, որոնք ուղարկվել Էին ավերիչ երկրաշարժից հետո շատ չանցած, որն ավելի քան 220 հազար մարդու կյանք խլեց, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
