Պենտագոնը Սիրիայի նախագահ Բաշար Ասադի կառավարական ուժերին նախազգուշացրել է զերծ մնալ ԱՄՆ ուժերի և նրա դաշնակիցների մոտակայքում ռազմական գործողություններից Էլ Հասակա քաղաքում տեղի ունեցած միջադեպից հետո: Ինչպես հաղորդում է Արմենպրեսը, այս մասին հայտնում է «Կոմերսանտ»-ը: «Մենք շատ ուշադիր ուսումնասիրում ենք դեպքերը, երբ կոալիցիայի ուժերը հայտնվում են ռիսկային իրավիճակներում, և մենք ունենք ինքնապաշտպանության իրավունք: Մենք հստակ հասկացնել ենք տվել, որ ԱՄՆ ռազմաօդային ուժերը սպառնալիքի դեպքում կպաշտպանեն ցամաքային ուժերին»,- ասել է Պենտագոնի մամուլի խոսնակ, կապիտան Ջեֆ Դեվիսը:
