Հայաստանի իշխանություններն ունեն քաղաքական կամք և անելու են հնարավորը` Ընտրական օրենսգրքում այնպիսի մեխանիզմներ ներդնելու համար, որոնք գործնականում կբացառեն ցանկացած ընտրակեղծիքի իրականացումը:

Հանրապետական կուսակցության գործադիր մարմնի նիստից հետո լրագրողների հետ զրույցում այդ մասին նշեց Ազգային ժողովի փոխնախագահ, ՀՀԿ խոսնակ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը` հիշեցնելով Կենտրոնական ընտրական հանձնաժողովի նախագահի հայտարարությունը, ըստ որի` իշխանության, ընդդիմության և քաղաքացիական հասարակության քննարկումների արդյունքում ԸՕ-ի շուրջ ձեռք բերված պայմանավորվածությունները չեղյալ են համարվում:

«ՀՀԿ-ն անելու է հնարավորը, որպեսզի ԸՕ-ում ներդրվեն վստահության մեխանիզմներ`ընտրական պրոցեսների և արդյունքների վերաբերյալ հանրության վստահությունը բարձրացնելու համար: Մենք չենք բացառում նոր լրացուցիչ մեխանիզմների ներդրումը, միգուցե նաև՝ քվեարկությանը մասնակցած քաղաքացիների ցուցակների հրապարկումը, կեղծարարության պատժաչափի խստացումը: Բանակցությունները կշարունակվեն ընդդիմության հետ, և մենք կարող ենք գալ նոր ընդհանուր համաձայնության, որպեսզի ընտրություններն անցկացնենք բարեփոխված Ընտրական օրենսգրքով: Տեխնիկական պատճառները, ո րոնց հետևանքով նախորդ պայմանավորվածությունները կյանքի կոչել հնարավոր չէ, խորչընդոտ չենք համարելու` նոր բարեփոխում անելու հարցում, որպեսզի ունենանք բոլորի կողմից վստահության արժանացած Ընտրական օրենսգիրք»,- ասաց Շարմազանովը:

Միաժամանակ, նա նշեց, որ ուշադիր հետևել է որոշ ընդդիմադիր գործընկերների մեկնաբանություններին, ովքեր շտապել են հայտարարել, թե իշխանությունը չունի քաղաքական կամք: «Մենք ունենք քաղաքական կամք և անելու ենք հնարավորը, որպեսզի ԸՕ-ում լինեն մեխանիզմներ, որոնք գործնականում կբացառեն ցանկացած ընտրակեղծիքի իրականացումը, չեմ բացառում նաև ընտրացուցակների հրապարկումը»,- կրկնեց Շարմազանովը:
