Մահապարտները սեպտեմբերի 5-ին ահաբեկչական վեց գործողություն են կատարել Սիրիայի Դամասկոս, Տարտուս, Հոմս եւ Էլ Հասակե քաղաքներում, ըստ վերջին տվյալների, զոհվել Է ավելի քան 50 մարդ:

Սիրիայի տարբեր քաղաքներում պայթյունների վերաբերյալ հաղորդագրություններ են սկսել ստացվել գրեթե միաժամանակ: Առաջին պայթյունը որոտացել Է Հոմսի Ազ Զահրա թաղամասի մուտքի մոտ, որտեղ առավելապես բնակվում են ալավիներ ու շիաներ: Ականապատված ավտոմեքենայով մահապարտ ահաբեկիչը պայթյուցիկ սարքը գործի Է դրել սիրիական բանակի պահակակետի մոտ: Զոհվել են կառավարական զորքերի երկու զինծառայողներ, եւս մի քանիսը վերքեր են ստացել: 

Գրեթե միաժամանակ հայտնի Է դարձել Հոմս քաղաքի մուտքի գլխավոր հսկիչ անցակետում տեղի ունեցած պայթյունի մասին: Այստեղ ահաբեկիչների զոհ են դարձել երկու զինվոր, վիրավորված եւս յոթին տեղափոխել են հիվանդանոց: Հոմսի պայթյուններից մոտավորապես 10 րոպե անց Տարտուսի նահանգի աշխարհազորի ներկայացուցիչը ՌԻԱ Նովոստիին հայտնել Է նավահանգստային քաղաքի մուտքի մերձակա բանակային արգելադետքում կատարված կրկնակի ահաբեկչության մասին:

Ավելի ուշ Տարտուսի նահանգի նահանգապետ Սաֆվան Աբու Սաադան հայտնել Էր, որ «Արզունա» հսկիչ անցակետում յոթ մահապարտներ ականապատված երեք ավտոմեքենա են պայթեցրել:Նահանգապետի խոսքով՝ ահաբեկիչները պլանավորում Էին ահաբեկչական գործողություններ իրականացնել Տարտուս քաղաքում, բայց պայթուցիկ սարքը գործի են դրել այն ժամանակ, երբ զինվորականները փորձել են ձերբակալել իրենց: Ահաբեկչական գրոհի հետեւանքով զոհվել Է 35 մարդ, որոնց մեծամասնությունը խաղաղ քաղաքացիներ են: Հինգերորդ ահաբեկչական գործողությունը կատարվել Է Դամասկոսի արվարձանում, որտեղ պայթանյութով հանդերձված գոտիով մահապարտ ահաբեկիչն իրեն պայթեցրել Է Սիրիայի մայրաքաղաքի մուտքի մերձակա արգելադետքում: 

Վեցերորդ ահաբեկչությունը տեղի Է ունեցել Էլ Հասաքե քաղաքում՝ «Ասաիշ»  քրդական ոստիկանության պահակակետում: Էլ Հասաքեի նահանգապետ Մոհամադ Զաալ ալ Ալին հայտնել Է, որ ականապատված մոտոցիկլետը գտնվում Էր «Ասաիշի» հսկիչ անցակետի մոտ: Ահաբեկիչները պայթուցիկ սարքը գործի են դրել հեռակառավարմամբ: Դրա հետեւանքով զոհվել Է հինգ մարդ, ներառյալ «Ասաիշ»-ի մարտիկներ, եւս հինգը վերքեր են ստացել: Առայժմ «Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորումն ստանձնել Է միայն Հասաքեում իրականացված պայթյունի պատասխանատվությունը: Մնացած պայթյունների համար պատասխանատվության վերաբերյալ տվյալներ չեն ստացվել:
