Մեկ օր անցկացրեք լողափում կամ զբոսնեք քաղաքի մարդաշատ վայրերից մեկով, և կհամոզվեք, որ դաջվածք ունենալով արդեն ոչ ոքի չես զարմացնի ու ուշադրություն չես գրավի: 

Դաջվածքը պատկանում է ամենահին ավանդույթների շարքին։ Չնայած բազմադարյան քննադատությանը՝ այն չի վերացել, այլ ժամանակի ընթացքում ենթարկվել է լուրջ փոփոխությունների և հարմարեցվել է հասարակության բոլոր շերտերի նախասիրություններին։ Եվ, ինչպես փաստում են պատմական աղբյուրները, այն միայն քրեական աշխարհի առանձնահատկությունը չէր, ինչպես ընդունված է կարծել, այլ մեծ տարածում ուներ աշխարհի բոլոր ժողովուրդների շրջանում։ Դաջվածքը ժամանակի ընթացքում էական փոփոխությունների և վերաիմաստավորման է ենթարկվել։ Այսօր այն առաջին հերթին ինքնարտահայտման ձև է, ինչպես  նաև սոցիալական կարգավիճակի, բարդույթների հաղթահարման և շրջապատից առանձնանալու որոշակի իմաստ է կրում:

Տիգրան

Մոսկվաբնակ Տիգրանը երկու դաջվածք ուներ`Մարիամ Աստվածածնի պատկերը և վագր: Առաջին դաջվածքի մասին չխոսեց` նշելով, որ դա անձնական է: Երկրորդ դաջվածքը`վագրը,  արել էր իր անվանը համապատասխանացնելով` тигр - Տիգրան:

Ազատ
Բազկամարտով զբաղվող Ազատը չորս դաջվածք ուներ` առյուծ, խաչ` Հիսուս Քրիստոսի աչքերով, ռուսերեն տառերով  С. Э. Р հապավում և տասներկու հրեշտակներով խաչ: Առյուծը բազկամարտի խորհրդանիշն է, այն նշանակում է ուժ ու հզորություն: Ըստ Ազատի` երկրորդ դաջվածքը մեկնաբանելու կարիք չկա, իսկ ահա   С. Э. Р հապավումը բացվում է հետևյալ կերպ` Свобода — это рай:

Արսեն
Արսենն ուներ ութոտնուկի դաջվածք: Նա իր դաջվածքը մեկնաբանեց հետևյալ կերպ.

«Ութոտնուկ դաջվածքներ հիմնականում արել են նավաստիներն ու ծովահենները 18-19-րդ դարերում, և ոչ միայն դաջվածք։ Նրանք նաև ութոտնուկի պատկերով կախազարդեր էին ունենում․ դա իրենց թալիսմանն էր: Նշանակում էր, որ անգամ ծովի հատակ իջնելուց հետո էլ, միևնույն է, բարձրանալու էին հետ: Իսկ դիմակը խորհրդանշում է ութոտնուկի փոփոխական բնույթը: Սա ինձ որոշ չափով է բնութագրում, որովհետև ես կարող եմ  մարդկանց, գրքերի ու ֆիլմերի հերոսների մոտ բնավորության որևէ գիծ հավանել, դա ինձ վերցնել ու լրացնել իմ էությունը:

Շուշաննա

Շուշաննան իր դաստակին ուներ ացտեկների արևի սիմվոլը պատկերող դաջվածք: Ըստ նրա՝ իր կյանքում պակասել էր արևը, ինչ էլ պատճառ էր հանդիսացել նման դաջվածքի: 

Էդուարդ

Դաջվածքը դեռ ամբողջական չէր՝ աշխատանքներն ընթացքի մեջ են: Ըստ Էդուարդի իր դաջվածքը խորհրդանշում է այն, որ ինքը կյանքում գտել է իր տեղն ու ուղղությունը:

Թալին

Թալինը երկու դաջվածք ուներ՝ մեջքին աստղային անձրև և մատին անգլերեն գրված՝ Belive: Նմանատիպ դաջվածքներ ունի երգչուիհի Ռիհաննան: 

Մարտա

Մարտան երկու դաջվածք ունի: Առաջինն ալիք է, որն, ըստ աղջկա,քչերն են հասկանում: Երկրորդը՝ կարիճի համաստեղության աստղային դիրքն է, որը դեռ կիսատ է:

Հրայր

Հրայրը ևս երկու դաջվածք ուներ: Քանի, որ Հրայրը բնակվում է Հայաստանից դուրս, նա իր թևին Մայր Աթոռ Սբ.Էջմիածնի վանք է դաջել: Իսկ վանքի ներքևում՝ իր ազգանունը՝ Թորոսյան, և ընտանիքի անդամների անունները:
