Սեպտեմբերի 10-ին Հայաստանի պետական տնտեսագիտական համալսարանում տեղի ունեցավ ապրիլյան քառօրյա պատերազմում զոհված հերոսների անվան լսարանի բացման հանդիսավոր արարողությունը: Միջոցառմանը ներկա էր ՀՀ Պաշտպանության նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանը: Նա բուհի ռեկտոր Կորյուն Աթոյանի հետ միասին իրականացրեց անվանակոչված լսարանի հանդիսավոր բացումը:

Նախարարը ծանոթացավ լսարանին, որտեղ «Բարձունքը մերն է, տղերքը՝ չկան, տղերքն ավելի բարձրում մնացին…» վերտառությամբ ներկայացված էին քառօրյա պատերազմում հայրենիքի համար կյանքը տալով հերոսացած զինվորների լուսանկարները, պատերազմական դրվագներ և  կադրեր առաջնագծից: Ծանոթության ավարտին Սեյրան Օհանյանը ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարության կողմից խորհրդանշական  հուշանվեր հանձնեց: Լսարանի հանդիսավոր բացման արարողությանը հաջորդեց պաշտպանության նախարարի հանդիպումը բուհի ուսանողների և պրոֆեսորադասախոսական համակազմի անդամների հետ: ՀՊՏՀ ռեկտոր Կորյուն Աթոյանն իր և բուհի անունից երախտագիտություն հայտնեց Սեյրան Օհանյանին բուհ-բանակ կապը ամրապնդելու ուղղությամբ իրականացվող ծրագրերին ցուցաբերվող մշտական աջակցության համար:

Ողջունելով ներկաներին՝ ՀՊՏՀ Ուսանողական խորհրդի նախագահ Սերգեյ Խառատյանը տեսահոլովակով ներկայացրեց նախորդ՝ 2015-2016 ուսումնական տարվա ընթացքում ուսանողական խորհրդի նախաձեռնությամբ համալսարանում և համալսարանից դուրս իրականացված բազմաթիվ ռազմահայրենասիրական միջոցառումներն ու ծրագրերը:

Սեյրան Օհանյանը, բարձր գնահատելով երիտասարդների ռազմահայրենասիրական դաստիարակությունը, հայտնեց. «Մեր բանակի կողքին, ի դեմս ուսանողական խորհրդի, ձևավորվել է մի նոր բանակ,  որը մշտապես կանգնած է մեր կողքին և աջակցում է բոլոր հարցերում, և ես իմ երախտագիտությունն եմ հայտնում այս կառույցին»:

Այնուհետև նախարարը գերատեսչական մեդալներով, պավոգրերով և հուշանվերներով պարգևատրեց բուհի դասախոսներին և ուսանողներին:

Հանդիպման ավարտին ուսանողները հնարավորություն ունեցան նախարարին  ուղղել իրենց հարցերը, որոնք առնչվում  էին  բանակային կյանքին, սահմանագծում տիրող իրավիճակին և այլ հարակից ոլորտներին:

Ծրագիրն իրականացվեց ՀՊՏՀ ուսանողական խորհրդի նախաձեռնությամբ Հայաստանի երիտասարդական հիմնադրամի հետ համատեղ:
