ՀՀ մշակույթի նախարարության և ԱՄՆ դեսպանության միջև հուշագիր ստորագրվեց

ՀՀ մշակույթի նախարար Հասմիկ Պողոսյանի և ԱՄՆ դեսպան Ռիչարդ Միլսի կողմից ստորագրվեց «Մեղրի քաղաքի  Սուրբ Սարգիս /Սբ Հովհաննես/ եկեղեցու պահպանության և որմնանկարների  վերականգման նպատակով ԱՄՆ դեսպանի մշակութային պահպանության հիմնադրամի կողմից դրամաշնորհի  տրամադրման մասին» հուշագիրը: «Տարիների ընթացքում հիմնադրամը Հայաստանին տրամադրել է 935 000 ԱՄՆ դոլար: Այն մշակութային արժեքները, որոնց պահպանությանն ուղղվում են հիմնադրամի գումարները, անգին ժառանգություն են ոչ միայն տվյալ երկրի, ալյև ողջ մարդկության համար: ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղարությունը ՀՀ-ում ԱՄՆ դեսպանության միջոցով 450 000 ԱՄՆ դոլար է հատկացնում Հայաստանի մշակութային գոհարներից մեկի` Մեղրու Սուրբ Սարգիս եկեղեցու պահպանության և վերականգման աշխատանքների իրականացման համար: Մեղրիում աշխատանքները կսկվեն այս տարի և  կավարտվեն 2018 թ.»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ` նշեց ԱՄՆ դեսպան Ռիչարդ Միլսը:

Սուրբ Սարգիս եկեղեցին հայ-պարսկական ճարտարապետական ոճի ինքնատիպ կառույց է: Կովկասում և Միջին Արևելքում եզակի է իր ոճով ու հարուստ  որմնանկարներով, որոնցում զուգորդված են ուշ միջնադարյան քրիստոնեական ու պարսկական  պատկերագրության տարրերը:

«Հիմնադրամը Հայաստանին աջակցում է 2005 թվականից: Շատ կարևոր է, որպեսզի Մեղրիում կատարվեն մշակութային արժեքների վերականգմանն ուղղված աշխատանքներ, քանի որ այն մեր հարավային դարպասն է, հիանալի պատմամշակութային ժառանգություն  ունեցող քաղաք: ՀՀ մշակույթի նախարարության ուշադրության կենտրոնում են գտնվում բազմաթիվ այլ քաղաքներ, որոնք հարուստ մշակույթ ունեն, ինչպես օրինակ Գորիսը»,- ընդգծեց ՀՀ մշակույթի նախարար Հասմիկ Պողոսյանը:

ԱՄՆ դեսպանի մշակութային արժեքների պահպանության հիմնադրամի ֆինանսավորմամբ  2005 թվականից մինչ օրս մշակութային տասը ծրագիր է իրականացվել: Ներկայումս Գյումրի քաղաքում ընթանում են Հակոբ Հակոբյանի «Սարերում» որմնանկարի վերականգման և տեղափոխման, Արենիի քարանձավի հնագիտական գտածոների պահպանության աշխատանքները:
