«Բոլոր ժամանակներում մարդու կյանքը եղել և մնում է այն բարձր արժեքը, որն անկախ ամեն ինչից՝ ընթանում է ճակատագրի հունով: Սակայն փայլում և մնում են պատմության մեջ նրանք, ովքեր իրենցից առավել գնահատում և խոնարհվում են գաղափարի կամ մեկ ուրիշի կյանքի առաջ:   Կինոռեժիսոր Մհեր Մկրտչյանի «Կյանք ու կռիվ»  գեղարվեստական ֆիլմը պատմում է մարդկային արժեքների, ընկերության, սիրո և հայրենասիրության մասին: Վերաարժևորել կյանքը, գնահատել  շրջապատող մարդկանց, սիրել հայրենիքը. ահա ֆիլմի հիմնական ասելիքը, որն ավելի  էական է այսօր, երբ մեր հանրապետությունը թևակոխում է  անկախության 25-րդ տարին»,- նշում է «Շարմ» ընկերության մամուլի ծառայությունը:

 «Կյանք ու կռիվ»  ֆիլմի հիքում  դպրոցական տարիքից մտերմացած  25 տարեկան 4 ընկերներ են՝ Տիգրանը, Լևոնը, Արմենը և Էդուարդը, որոնցից երկուսը մասնակցում են արցախյան ազատամարտին, իրենց կյանքը վտանգում հանուն հայրենիքի և խաղաղության: Ֆիլմում  զուգահեռներ են տարվում  պատերազմի և սիրո միջև։ Եվ հենց այս հակասական զուգահեռում է սկիզբ առնում այն սերը, որն ապրեցնում է և  ուժ տալիս դժվարին պահերին: Ֆիլմի հեղինակները ներկայացնում են պատերազմական շրջանի ճակատագրերի ողբերգությունը՝ միախառնված առօրեական իրավիճակների հետ:

«Շարմից» տեղեկացնում են, որ ֆիլմի ստեղծագործական խումբը կազմված է ֆիլմարտադրության ոլորտի փորձառու  պրոֆեսիոնալներից,  միաժամանակ մեծ հնարավորություն է տրվել հանդես գալու դեռևս քիչ փորձ ունեցող, բայց տաղանդավոր երիտասարդների: Ֆիլմի նկարահանումների ժամանակ, պատերազմական տեսարաններին ժամանակի իրական շունչը փոխանցելու համար՝ կիրառվել է իրական զինտեխնիկա, պայթուցիկներ, ուղղաթիռներ, ծանր տեխնիկա և այլ զինամթերք:
