Հոկտեմբերի 8-ին գումարված արտահերթ նիստում Երևանի ավագանին, հիմք ընդունելով Երևանի քաղաքապետի առաջարկությունը, Երևան քաղաքի 2796-րդ տարեդարձի առթիվ Երևանի պատվավոր քաղաքացու կոչում է շնորհել վաստակաշատ մի խումբ քաղաքացիների: Հայկական երաժշտության բնագավառում ունեցած վաստակի և ներդրած նշանակալի ավանդի համար ավագանին քվեարկությամբ որոշել է Երևան քաղաքի պատվավոր քաղաքացու կոչում շնորհել ականավոր ջութակահար, Կոմիտասի անվան լարային քառյակի գեղարվեստական ղեկավար, պրոֆեսոր Էդուարդ Թադևոսյանին: Ավագանու հավանությանն է արժանացել նաև գրող, հրապարակախոս Մերուժան Տեր-Գուլանյանին, շախմատիստ, միջազգային գրոսմայստեր Լևոն Արոնյանին Երևանի պատվավոր քաղաքացու կոչում շնորհելու մասին Երևանի քաղաքապետի առաջարկությունը: Ավագանին քվեարկությամբ հավանություն է տվել նաև բնապահպան, պրոֆեսոր Կարինե Դանիելյանին Երևանի պատվավոր քաղաքացու կոչում շնորհելու մասին Երևանի քաղաքապետի առաջարկությանը:
Ավագանու հավանությանն են արժանացել նաև Երևան քաղաքի պատվավոր քաղաքացիներ ՀԽՍՀ և ԽՍՀՄ ժողովրդական արտիստուհի ՀՀ «Մովսես Խորենացի» և «Մեսրոպ Մաշտոց» մեդալակիր Վարթուհի Վարթերեսյանին և ՀԽՍՀ արվեստի վաստակավոր գործիչ, ՀՀ ժողովրդական արտիստ Երվանդ Ղազանչյանին, ՀՀ վաստակավոր արտիստուհի, «Մովսես Խորենացի» մեդալակիր Էվելինա Շահիրյանին, Ալ.Սպենդիարյանի անվան օպերայի և բալետի ազգային ակադեմիական թատրոնի մեներգիչ Հովհաննես Այվազյանին, Գյումրիի պատվավոր քաղաքացի, խորհրդային իշխանության տարիներին 9 տարի ՀԿԿ Լենինականի քաղաքային կոմիտեի առաջին քարտուղարի պաշտոնում աշխատած Դոնարա Հարությունյանին սեփականության իրավունքով բնակարաններ անհատույց օտարելու (նվիրելու) մասին առաջարկությունները: Ավագանու որոշմամբ բնակարաններ են նվիրաբերվել նաև հերոսուհի մայրեր Հասմիկ Մկրտչյանի և Գայանե Գրիգորյանի ընտանիքներին, ինչպես նաև պետական և ռազմական գործիչ, սպարապետ Գարեգին Նժդեհի թոռանը՝ Էսֆիրա Տրդատյանին: Ավագանու որոշմամբ սեփականության իրավունքով բնակարաններ են նվիրաբերվել 1-ին խմբի անժամկետ հաշմանդամ, ազատամարտիկ Վալեր Արզումանյանի և մարտական պահակակետում զոհված Կարեն Մովսեսյանի ընտանիքներին:
