Ասում են՝ երկիրը հզոր է նախևառաջ այնպիսի մարդկանցով, ովքեր պատրաստ են հանուն երկրի ու ժողովրդի ինքնազոհաբերվել, նրանցով, ովքեր ոչ միայն իսկական հայրենասերներ են, այլև՝ հայրենատերեր՝ պատրաստ՝ հանուն ընդհանուր շահի մի կողմ դնելու սեփականը, անելու իրենցից կախված ամեն բան՝ օգտակար ու նեցուկ լինելու պետությանը, հասարակությանն ու հետևաբար մարդկությանը: Գագիկ Ծառուկյանը, վստահաբար, հենց նման մարդկանց թվին է պատկանում: Հայաստանի ժամանակակից պատմության մեջ դժվար կարելի է գտնել ևս մեկին, ով կարողանա համեմատվել մի մարդու հետ, ում ժողովուրդը վաղուց է փառավորել՝ արժանացնելով իր անսահման սիրուն, վստահությանն ու հարգանքին:

Չափազանցրած չենք լինի, եթե ասենք, որ Հայաստանում գրեթե չկա մի ոլորտ, բնագավառ, որի զարգացման գործում Ծառուկյանը ներդրում չունենա. լինի սպորտ, թե՝ գյուղատնտեսություն, մշակույթ, թե՝ հայապահպանություն, ամենուրեք Ծառուկյանի ներդրած ավանդը հսկայական է, անուրանալի:  Նա փաստացի մեր իրականության ամենաերևելի բարեգործներից է, որի գործունեությունը խիստ արդյունավետ է, բացառիկորեն հաջողված: Միայն վերջին շրջանի նրա կատարած գործերը բավարար են, որպեսզի հնարավոր լինի հաստատապես պնդել, որ Ծառուկյանի գործունեությունը ոչ միայն համահայաստանյան է, այլև, որ չափազանց կարևոր է, համահայկական մասշտաբների, որ ունի ոչ թե այսրոպեական, այլ՝ ստրատեգիական նպատակներ՝ միտված լինելով ապագային ու սերունդներին:

Բայց Ծառուկյանի ամենամեծ վաստակը ժողովրդի առաջ ոչ միայն իր գործերն են ու խոսքը գործի վերածելու բացառիկ ունակությունն, այլև նրա վերաբերմունքը՝ համաքաղաքացիներին: Լինելով ամենևին էլ ոչ վերջին մարդն այս երկրում` Ծառուկյանը երբեք չի գոռոզացել, Ծառուկյանը երբեք սեփական անձը վեր չի դասել ուրիշներից՝ իրեն համարելով իր իսկ ժողովրդի ծոցից դուրս եկած հարազատ զավակ, որ, պարզապես, որոշել է սառնասրտորեն կողքից մարդկանց տառապանքին հետևելու փոխարեն ձեռք մեկնել նրանց, սատարել ու լինել նրանցից մեկը: Իսկ ասվածի փայլուն ապացույցը նախևառաջ նրա՝ ժողովրդի շրջանում ունեցած սերն է. այս մարդուն ժողովուրդն իրենն է համարել ի սկզբանե, համարել ու մեծարել է, տվել պատիվ, որ շատերը կերազեին ունենալ, բայց…

Վստահ ենք՝ Ծառուկյանի մեծագործությունների ու բարերարությունների պտուղը հայ ժողովուրդը դեռ շատ է քաղելու, սերունդներն են լինելու գնահատողը նրա գործի, քանի որ Ծառուկյանի բարերարությունները ոչ միայն շարունակական են, այլև միտված են ապագային՝ մի բան, որ խիստ բացառիկ երևույթ է հայկական իրականության պայմաններում. Ծառուկյանն է վաղուց սահմանել այն նշաձողը, որին մյուսները դեռ պետք է հասնեն: Կհասնե՞ն, արդյոք, դժվար թե…
