Ամերիկացի գիտնականները պարզել են, թե ինչ հսկայական դեր է կատարում հոր վարքագիծը երեխայի վարքագծի վրա։

«Նախորդ հետազոտությունները ստիպում էին ենթադրել, որ հայրերը ոչ մի ուղղակի ազդեցություն չեն թողնում երեխաների զարգացման վրա, այլ պարզապես ֆոն են ստեղծում ընտանիքում, իսկ անմիջական ազդեցություն միայն մայրերն են թողնում։ Սակայն մեզ հաջողվել է ապացուցել, որ դա բոլորովին էլ այդպես չէ, հայրերը ուղղակիորեն ազդում են երեխայի կյանքի բոլոր ասպեկտների վրա՝ թե  կարճաժամկետ, թե երկարաժամկետ հեռանկարում»,- հայտնել է հետազոտության հեղինակներից մեկը՝ Քլեր Վալլոտոնը։

Նման եզրակացության են հանգել գիտնականները՝ դիտարկելով 730 ընտանիքների ու այնտեղ մեծացող երեխաներին։ Հետազոտողները պարզել են, որ սթրեսն ու դեպրեսիան հանգեցնում են մտավոր ու խոսքի զարգացման արգելակմանը 2-3 տարեկան երեխաների մոտ։ Հոր վատ տրամադրությունը հատկապես վատ է անդրադառնում տղաների զարգացման վրա, որոնք դրա պատճառով սկսում են ավելի ուշ խոսել։ Այս ազդեցությունը նկատվել է նույնիսկ այն ժամանակ, երբ մայրերը հաշվի են առել մայրերի դրական ազդեցությունը։

Վերլուծությունը ցույց է տվել, որ մայրերն ու հայրերն ընդհանուր առմամբ նույնատեսակ ազդեցություն ունեն նախադպրոցական տարիքի երեխաների վրա, սակայն հայրերի ազդեցությունն  այդ իմաստով ավելի երկարաժամկետ է՝  հոր դեպրեսիան այն ժամանակահատվածոմ, երբ երեխան 2-3 տարեկան է, կարող է հանգեցնել նրան, որ արդեն 9-10 տարեկանում երեխան ավելի վատ կտիրապետի իրեն ու  դժվարությաբ կշփվի հասակակիցների հետ։ Մոր մշտական վատ տրամադրությունը նման ազդեցություն չի թողնում։

Հետազոտողները ենթադրել են, որ հայրերը որոնք սթրեսի կամ դեպրեսիայի մեջ են, ավելի քիչ են ուշադրություն դարձնում երեխաներին, ինչի հետեւանքով նրանց զարգացումը դանդաղում է ու վարքագծային խնդիրներ են սկսվում։ «Դուք շատ կարեւոր եք ձեր երեխաների համար, այնպես որ հոգ տարեք ինքներդ ձեր մասին,- այդ կապակցությամբ բոլոր հայրերին է դիմել հետազոտության առաջատար հեղինակ Տամեշա Հեյրվուդը,- Հայրերը չպետք  է մտածեն, որ եթե իրենք օգնության կարիք ունեն, ուրեմն  դրանից իրենց առնականությունը տուժում է»:
