ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը հոկտեմբերի 13-ին հանդիպում է ունեցել Տաջիկստանի Հանրապետության Նախագահ Էմոմալի Ռահմոնի հետ, ով Հայաստան է ժամանել հոկտեմբերի 14-ին Երևանում կայանալիք Հավաքական անվտանգության պայմանագրի կազմակերպության (ՀԱՊԿ) Հավաքական անվտանգության խորհրդի նստաշրջանին մասնակցելու նպատակով:

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ Նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, ՀՀ Նախագահը ողջունել է գործընկերոջը մեր երկրում և ընդգծել, որ Հայաստանը հետաքրքրված է զարգացնել բարեկամական, եղբայրական հարաբերությունները Տաջիկստանի հետ: Նշելով, որ հայ-տաջիկական հարաբերությունների ներկայիս մակարդակը չի համապատասխանում ոչ երկու երկրների քաղաքական հարաբերությունների բարձր մակարդակին և ոչ էլ հայ և տաջիկ ժողովուրդների բարեկամությանը, Սերժ Սարգսյանը նկատել է, որ այդուհանդերձ, միջպետական հարաբերությունները զարգացնելու դինամիկա կա, որն անհրաժեշտ է երկուստեք հետևողականորեն խորացնել ու ամրապնդել:

ՀՀ Նախագահն ընդգծել է, որ Հայաստանում սիրով սպասում են Էմոմալի Ռահմոնի պաշտոնական այցին, որը համագործակցության նոր և բազմաթիվ պայմանավորվածությունների սկիզբ կհանդիսանա:

Տաջիկստանի Նախագահը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանին իր գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը ջերմ հյուրընկալության արժանացնելու համար: Էմոմալի Ռահմոնը նշել է, որ սա իր երրորդ այցն է Հայաստան և հատուկ ՀԱՊԿ Հավաքական անվտանգության խորհրդի նստաշրջանից մեկ օր առաջ է ժամանել Երևան, որպեսզի ևս մեկ հնարավորություն ունենա հանդիպելու իր հայ գործընկերոջն ու ընկերոջը, մտքեր փոխանակելու, քննարկելու բոլոր ուղղություններով հայ-տաջիկական երկկողմ համագործակցության հեռանկարը: Տաջիկստանի Նախագահն ընդգծել է, որ և՛ ՀԱՊԿ շրջանակներում, և ՛ երկկողմ փոխգործակցության զարգացման առումով խոսելու բավականին թեմա կա: 

Նախագահ Ռահմոնը նշել է նաև, որ իր երկրում ուշադիր հետևում են աշխարհում կատարվող իրադարձություններին, և ՀԱՊԿ Հավաքական անվտանգության խորհրդի երևանյան նստաշրջանի շրջանակներում, բնականաբար, անդրադարձ կլինի ինչպես միջազգային արդի խնդիրներին, այնպես էլ տարածաշրջանի անվտանգության հարցերին:

Հայաստանի և Տաջիկստանի Նախագահները հանդիպման ընթացքում հանգամանորեն քննարկել են երկկողմ միջպետական հարաբերությունների զարգացմանը վերաբերող հարցերի լայն շրջանակ:
