Ինչպես հայտնում են ՀՀ ԱԺ նախագահի աշխատակազմի հասարակայնության և տեղեկատվության միջոցների հետ կապերի վարչությունից, ԱԺ նախագահի ուղերձում ասվում է. 

«Լրատվամիջոցների հարգելի ներկայացուցիչներ, շնորհավորում եմ ձեզ Հայ մամուլի օրվա առթիվ:

ԶԼՄ-ները մարդկանց ու պետությունների կյանքին վերաբերող իրադարձությունների ինքնատիպ օրագիրն են, հաճախ նաև այդ իրադարձությունները կանխորոշողն ու թելադրողը` դրանով իսկ ծանրակշիռ, երբեմն նույնիսկ ճակատագրական դեր ունենալով քաղաքացու և պետության կյանքում: Ձեր` տարբեր դիտանկյուններ ունեցող լրագրողներիդ ու ձեր ներկայացրած լրատվամիջոցների միջոցով են փոխանցվում, ձևակերպվում հասարակության` իրենց մեջ տարբեր ազդակներ պարունակող ասելիքն ու խոսքը, որոնք համադրելով սեփական ասելիքի հետ` հրապարակայնորեն բարձրաձայնում եք խնդիրներ, մտահոգություններ ու նաև առաջարկում լուծումներ: 222 տարի առաջ լույս տեսած հայոց առաջին պարբերականը` «Ազդարարը», ուներ ի՛ր ձայնն ու խոսքը, որոնք գուցեև համահունչ չեն այսօրվա լրատվամիջոցների մտածողությանը, այդուհանդերձ, իրենց մեջ նույնպես որոշակի ազդակներ ունեն, որոնք բնավ չեն կորցրել արդիականությունը:

Լրատվամիջոցների և լրագրողների օբյեկտիվությունն ու անկեղծությունը, ազատ խոսքի հավաստիությունը մեծապես կախված են ազատ մտածելու, արտահայտվելու եւ գործելու հնարավորությունից: Հայաստանյան լրատվամիջոցների այսօրվա անխոչընդոտ ակտիվությունն ու հասարակական-քաղաքական և պետական կյանքին լիարժեք մասնակցությունը լավագույնս են բնորոշում այն հասարակական պահանջարկը, որ կա լրատվական դաշտի հանդեպ և այն բարենպաստ մթնոլորտը, որն առկա է նրանց արդյունավետ ու անկաշկանդ գործունեության համար:
