Միավորված ազգերի կազմակերպության գլխավոր քարտուղար Բան Կի-մունը ուղերձ է հղել հոկտեմբերի 24-ին ՄԱԿ-ի օրվա առթիվ: Ինչպես տեղեկանում ենք ՄԱԿ-ի հայաստանյան գրասենյակից, ուղերձում ասվում է.

«Այս տարի ՄԱԿ-ի օրը նշվում է թե՛ աշխարհի, թե՛ ՄԱԿ-ի համար անցումային ժամանակահատվածում:

Մարդկությունը թևակոխել է կայունության դարաշրջան՝ «Կայուն զարգացման օրակարգ - 2030»-ի մեծ պարտավորությունն իրականացնելու համաշխարհային հանձնառությամբ: Եվ ահա, կազմակերպության 71-րդ տարում մենք ունենք 17 նպատակ, որոնք մեզ մղելու են դեպի ավելի լավ ապագա բոլորի համար՝ առողջ մոլորակի վրա:

Աշխարհն, ի վերջո, հաղթահարում է այն մտակերտվածքը, որի համաձայն բարգավաճման տանող ուղին էներգակիրների այրումն է: Ռեկորդային բարձր ջերմաստիճանի պայմաններում անդամ երկրները ռեկորդային ժամանակահատվածում ընդունել են կլիմայի փոփոխության վերաբերյալ Փարիզի համաձայնագիրը: Այս շրջադարձային միջոցն ուժի մեջ կմտնի նոյեմբերի 4-ին:  Այդ պատմական մեկնակետն ամփոփում է ավելի կանաչ, մաքուր և սակավ ածխածնային զարգացման մեր լավագույն հնարավորությունը:

Միավորված ազգերի կազմակերպությունը ևս անցումային փուլում է. ութերորդ գլխավոր քարտուղարին փոխարինելու է գալիս իններորդը: Ես պատիվ եմ ունեցել վերջին 10 տարիներին ծառայելու ՄԱԿ-ի ժողովուրդներին: Մենք միասին դրել ենք համատեղ առաջընթացի լուրջ հիմք: Եվ այդ հիմքի վրա պետք է կառուցենք՝ ավելի ջանասիրաբար աշխատելով կանանց զորացման, երիտասարդների ներգրավման ու բոլորի մարդու իրավունքները պաշտպանելու ուղղությամբ: Բայց մենք նաև ահռելի հիասթափություններ ենք ունեցել, այդ թվում՝ չլուծված հակամարտությունները, որոնք անսահման տառապանքների պատճառ են փոթորկված Մերձավոր Արևելքում, Հարավային Սուդանում, Սահելում և այլուր: Բռնության ու աղետի այս և այլ առաջնագծերում ՄԱԿ-ի խիզախ անձնակազմը շարունակում է լինել իրավիճակի կիզակետում ու արձագանքել խոցելի վիճակում գտնվողների ծանր կացությանը:

Շնորհակալ եմ աշխարհի բոլոր մարդկանց իրենց աջակցության համար և հորդորում եմ անմնացորդ սատարել նորանշանակ գլխավոր քարտուղար Անտոնիո Գուտերեշին՝ շարունակելու համաշխարհային խաղաղությանը, կայուն զարգացմանն ու մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանությանն ուղղված մեր առաքելությունը»:
