Վաշինգթոնն ու Սեուլը Հյուսիսային Կորեայի վրա ճնշումը սաստկացնելու մեխանիզմ են ստեղծում

Միացյալ Նահանգները եւ Հարավային Կորեան մշտապես գործող մեխանիզմ են ստեղծում Փհենյանի վրա ճնշումը սաստկացնելու համար: Այս մասին նշված է Հյուսիսային Կորեայի «Նոդոն սինմուն» կենտրոնական թերթում հրապարակված հոդվածում, որը մեկնաբանել է  վերջերս Վաշինգթոնում կայացած ԱՄՆ-ի եւ Հարավային Կորեայի պաշտպանության եւ արտաքին գործերի նախարարների հանդիպումը, փոխանցում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:

Այդ հանդիպմանը կողմերը որոշում են ընդունել Հյուսիսային Կորեայի «ընդլայնված զսպման» քննարկման նոր ձեւաչափ ստեղծելու մասին: Խոսքը խորհրդակցական խմբի մասին է, որը մշըական հիմունքներով «կաշխատի տվյալ ռազմավարության քաղաքական եւ ռազմական ուղղություններով Հյուսիսային Կորեայի կողմից սադրանքներին եւ սպառնալիքներին հակազդելու համար»:

«Նոդոն սինմուն»-ի գնահատմամբ՝ այս որոշումը վկայում է Վաշինգթոնի եւ Սեուլի մությունն ամրապնդելու մտադրության մասին, որպեսզի «Փհենյանից բխող սպառնալիքի պատրվակով համատեղ ուժերով Հյուսիսային Կորեային մեկուսացնեն եւ «խեղդեն»: Պարբերականի տեղեկություններով՝ ընդլայնված զսպման համակարգը «ենթադրում է ամերիկյան ռազմավարական ատոմային ավիակիրների, սուզանավերի եւ ռմբակոծիչների կիրառում»: Թերթը նշում է, որ Վաշինգթոնն ու Սեուլը, ամենայն հավանականությամբ,  «պատրաստվում են ծովային, օդային եւ ցամաքային կանխարգելիչ հարվածների միջոցով Հյուսասիայի Կորեա ներխուժելու պլանի իրագործմանը»:

Հարավկորեական քաղաքական գործիչների հետ բանակցություններից հետո կայացած մամուլի ասուլիսի ժամանակ Պենտագոնի ղեկավար Էշթոն Քարթերը հայտարարել է, որը ԱՄՆ-ը տնօրինում է անհրաժեշտ բոլոր հնարավորություններին Հյուսիսային Կորեայի «ընդլայնված զսպումը» սաստկացնելու համար: Նրա խոսքով՝ ամերիկյան զինանոցում առկա միջոցները երկրին իր դաշնակիցներին պաշտպանելու հնարավորություն կտան:
