Ինչպես հայտնում է Orer.am-ը, «Ժառանգություն» կուսակցության ղեկավար Րաֆֆի Հովհաննիսյանը խոսքն ուղղելով Ազատության հրապարակում հավաքված հանրությանը` ասաց, որ միայն միասնականությամբ է հարկավոր գտնել հայոց փրկությունը: Այնուհետև Րաֆֆի Հովհաննիսյանը ողջունեց այն, որ կուսակցական դրոշները խոնարհվել են և հրապարակում ծածանվում է միայն պետական դրոշը: Այնուհետև անդրադառնալով ՀՀ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի պաշտոնավարման տարիներին՝ ասաց.«Հինգ տարի առաջ այս օրը նա ստորագրել տվեց այն արձանագրությունները, որոնք հակապետական էին: Նախորդ տարի նա գողացավ ոչ թե իմ քվեն, այլ ժողովրդի ձայնը: Այսօր արհամարհելով ժողովրդի կամքը իր ոչ մեգիտիմ ստորագրությունը դրեց իր ստորագրությունը մի փաստաթղթի վրա, որը վաճառում է Հայաստանի ինքնիշխանությունը: Միայն նոր և ժողովրդի կամքով ձևավորված Ազգային ժողովն ու իշխանությունը կկարողանան կանոնակարգել հայ-թուրքական հարաբերությունները, Ռուսաստան-Հայաստան հարաբերությունները և միայն իրավական իշխանությունը կարող է հաշվետվություն տալ ժողովրդին, չհեգնել Շանթ Հարությունյանին ու նրա ընկերներին, Վոլոդյա Ավետիսյանին, Վարդան Պետրոսյանին»:

Րաֆֆի Հովհաննիսյանը ևս մեկ անգամ իր երախտագիտությունը հայտնեց Ազատության հարթակում կանգնած քաղաքական ուժերին, բոլոր նրանց, ովքեր մի քիչ ուշացած, սակայն եկել են ժողովդրի ճակատագրին տեր կանգնելու: Իր անցած մարտական ճանապարհի համար շնորհակալություն հայտնեց նաև Սերժ Սարգսյանին. «Իր անցած ճանապարհի համար շնորհակալություն պիտի հայտնենք պարոն Սարգսյանին և ասենք, բարի ճանապարհ, ձեր ժամը հնչել է»: Իր ելույթի ավարտին Րաֆֆի Հովհաննիսյանը կոչ արեց ժողովրդին` տեր կանգնել իր հաղթանակին: Այնուհետր Րաֆֆի Հովհաննիսյանն ասաց, որ ավարտում է ելույթը` ՀՀ առաջին նախագահ Լևոն Տեր-Պետրոսյանի և ԲՀԿ առաջնորդ Գագիկ Ծառուկյանի հետ կարճ խորհրդակցություն ունենալու համար, սակայն նրա ելույթին անմիջապես հաջորդեց Գագիկ Ծառուկյանի ելույթը:
