 Ուրախների և հնարամիտների ակումբի միջազգային օրն ամեն տարի նշում են  նոյեմբերի 8-ին: 1961-ի այս օրն է եթեր հեռարձակվել ՈՒՀԱ-ի առաջին հաղորդումը: Արմենպրեսի հաղորդմամբ` տոնն առաջին անգամ նշվել է 2001թ.: 

ՈՒՀԱ-ի միջազգային առաջնություններին մասնակցել եւ լավ արդյունքներ են գրանցել նաեւ հայկական թիմերը:

2013թ. լրացավ Հայաստանի ՈՒՀԱ ասոցիացիայի 20-ամյակը, որի շրջանակում կազմակերպված համերգին հանդես եկան 1993-2002 թվականների Ուրախների և հնարամիտների ակումբի հայկական լավագույն թիմերը, այդ թվում՝ ԵրՄԻ-ն, «Նոր հայեր»-ը և «Հայկական նախագիծ»-ը:

Հայաստանի ՈւՀԱ-ի ասոցիացիան հիմնադրվել է 1993 թ. Երևանի բժշկական ինստիտուտի թիմի անդամների նախաձեռնությամբ:
Ասոցիացիայի նախագահը համահիմնադիր Կարեն Ղազարյանն է:

Մինչև 2007 թվականը ասոցիացիան պարբերաբար անցկացրել է Հայաստանի ՈւՀԱ-ի մրցաշարեր: Այդ տարիներին խաղն առավել հայտնի էր ուսանողության շրջանում, գրեթե բոլոր ինստիտուտներն ունեին իրենց ներկայացուցչական թիմերը, որոնք ամեն տարի մրցում էին լավագույնի կոչման համար:

Ասոցիացիայի նախաձեռնությամբ ստեղծվել են «Նոր հայեր» (Новые Армяне), «Հայկական նախագիծ» (Армянский проект) թիմերը, որոնք միջազգային բեմերում մեծ հաջողությամբ ներկայացրել են Հայաստանը: Այդ մասին են վկայում ՈւՀԱ-ի բարձրագույն լիգայի, Յուրմալայի, Ուկրաինական լիգայի գավաթները և շատ այլ հաղթանակներ:

Այս ամենից զատ հայկական ՈՒՀԱ-ի լիգան յուրովի դաստիարակչական դպրոց է եղել, որով անցած երբեմնի երիտասարդներն այսօր արդեն տարբեր բնագավառներում նշանակալից հաջողությունների են հասել, զբաղեցնում են առաջատար պաշտոններ և իրենց ներդրումն ունեն ոչ միայն Հայաստանում, այլև միջազգային ասպարեզում:

ՈւՀԱ-ի նախատիպը լրագրող Սերգեյ Մուրադովի կազմակերպած «Ուրախ հարցերի երեկո» հաղորդումն էր, որն էլ ստեղծվել էր չեխական «Գուշակի՛ր, գուշակի՛ր, գուշակ» հաղորդման նմանությամբ:
