Ռուսաստանի Դաշնային ժողովի պատգամավոր, Հայաստանի ազգային հերոս Նիկոլայ Ռիժկովը կարծում է, որ ԱՄՆ նախագահի պաշտոնում Դոնալդ Թրամփի ընտրվելը որոշակիորեն կնպաստի Ռուսաստանի և ԱՄՆ-ի միջև հարաբերությունների բարելավմանը: ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովում լրագրողների հետ զրույցում, անդրադառնալով ԱՄՆ-ում նախագահական ընտրություննե րի արդյունքներին, Ռիժկովն ընդգծեց, որ Ռուսաստանում բնակչության մեծ մասն աջակցում էր Դոնալդ Թրամփին, քանի որ Հիլարի Քլինթոնն ակնհայտ հակառուսական դիրք էր բռնել: «Մեր ժողովրդի մեծ մասը աջակցում էր Թրամփին, որովհետև Քլինթոնն ակնհայտ հակառուսական դիրք էր որդեգրել: Նա անընդհատ ասում էր՝ Ռուսաստանը վատն է, այդ երկրի ղեկավարությունը վատն է, դրա համար մեզ մոտ նրա նկատմամբ հակաթույն էր ձևավորվել: Մեր ժողովուրդն աջակցում էր Թրամփին, քանի որ նրա կողմից մեր երկրի հասցեին ագրեսիվ հայտարարություններ չկային»,- Արմենպրեսի հաղորդմամբ՝ նշեց նա:

Ռիժկովը հավելեց, որ չի ակնկալում, որ ինչ-որ երկնային փոփոխություններ կլինեն, սակայն վստահություն հայտնեց, որ Ռուսաստանի և ԱՄՆ-ի միջև հարաբերությունների բարելավմանն ուղղված քայլեր կլինեն: Նրա խոսքով՝ Ռուսաստանն այդ հարցում դրական է տրամադրված: «Գիտեք, մեր հարաբերություններն այնքան են վատացել, որ դրանից այն կողմ անցնելու տեղ այլևս չկա: Մենք վատ հարաբերություններ ունենք ու պետք է հասկանալ, որ այլ տարբերակ արդեն չկա»,- ասաց Նիկոլայ Ռիժկովը:

Հարցին՝ Դոնալդ Թրամփի ղեկավարման շրջանում ԱՄՆ-ն ի՞նչ դիրքորոշում կորդեգրի Ուկրաինայի հարցում, Ռիժկովն ընդգծեց, որ Ուկրաինայում էլ չեն հասկանում, թե ինչ են ուզում և ինչ է կատարվում: Նիկոլայ Ռիժկովը նշեց, որ Ուկրաինայում աղոթել են, որ ԱՄՆ նախագահի պաշտոնում ընտրվի Հիլարի Քլինթոնը, քանի որ միայն այդ դեպքում ԱՄՆ-ն կպահպաներ իր դիրքորոշումն այդ հարցում, իսկ թե ինչ դիրքորոշում կորդեգրի Թրամփը, դեռ հարկավոր է հասկանալ: «Թրամփի ընտրվելը մեծ հարված էր Ուկրաինայի համար: Եթե չեմ սխալվում, Պորոշենկոն դեռևս չի շնորհավորել Թրամփին ընտրվելու կապակցությամբ»,- եզրափակեց նա:
