Վատիկան եռօրյա այցելության ընթացքում Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Արամ Ա. Վեհափառ Հայրապետը Ֆրանցիսկոս Պապի հետ ունեցած հանդիպումից հետո տեսակցում է Վատիկանի բարձաստիճան պաշտոնյաներին։ Այս մասին տեղեկացրին Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիո կաթողիկոսության մամուլի դիվանից, որի հաղորդագրության մեջ նշված է. «Վատիկան իր այց ելութեան եռօրեայ շրջանին, Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Արամ Ա. Վեհափառ Հայրապետը Ֆրանսիս Պապին հետ ունեցած հանդիպումին առընթեր, յաջորդաբար հետեւեալ տեսակցութիւնները ունեցաւ Վատիկանի կարեւոր բաժանմունքներու բարձրաստիճան պատասխանատուներուն հետ, որոնք մօտէն ծանօթ են Նորին Սրբութեան.-

Առաջին հերթին Արամ Ա. Կաթողիկոս աշխատանքային հանդիպում մը ունեցաւ Վատիկանի Պետական Քարտուղար Կարտինալ Փարօլինի հետ, որ փաստօրէն Վատիկանի Վարչապետն է։ Վեհափառ Հայրապետին ու Կարտինալին հանդիպման առանցքը դարձան յատկապէս Միջին Արեւելքը յուզող հարցերը եւ այդ ծիրէն ներս քրիստոնեայ համայնքներուն դիմագրաւած մտահոգութիւնները։

Նորին Սրբութիւնը նաեւ հանդիպում ունեցաւ Արեւելեան Կաթողիկէ Եկեղեցիներու եւ Միաբանութիւններու բաժանմունքի նախագահ Կարտինալ Սանտրիի հետ։ Հանդիպման ընթացքին առաւելաբար արծարծուեցան Հայ ու Կաթողիկէ եկեղեցիներու յարաբերութեանց առնչուած հարցեր։

Վեհափառ Հայրապետին ունեցած հանդիպումներու շարքին նաեւ կարեւոր էր Վատիկանի Միջ-եկեղեցական Յարաբերութեանց բաժանմունքի նախագահ Կարտինալ Քոխի հետ տեղի ունեցած տեսակցութիւնը, որ առիթ մը եղաւ լայնօրէն անդրադառնալու միջ-եկեղեցական շարժումին պարզած ներկայ վիճակին, Կաթոլիկ ու Արեւելեան Ուղղափառ եկեղեցիներու միջեւ տեղի ունեցող աստուածաբանական երկխօսութեան եւ Հայ ու Կաթոլիկ եկեղեցիներու յարաբերութեանց։

Նորին Սրբութիւնը նաեւ այցելեց Վատիկանի մօտ Հայաստանի դեսպանատունը, ուր հանդիպում ունեցաւ դեսպան Միքայէլ Մինասեանի հետ։ Վեհափառ Հայրապետը բարձր գնահատեց Դեսպանին կատարած աշխատանքը եւ մանաւանդ Հայաստանի ու Վատիկանի յարաբերութեանց զարգացման բերած կարեւոր նպաստը։ Յայտնենք, որ Դեսապանը Հռոմի օդակայանին մէջ Վեհափառ Հայրապետին անձնապէս բարի գալուստ մաղթեց, անոր Հռոմ ժամանումին առիթով։

Արամ Ա. Կաթողիկոս կարճ այցելութիւն մը տուաւ Հայ Կաթողիկէ եկեղեցւոյ պատկանող Լեւոնեան Վարժարանը եւ գնահատեց այդտեղ կատարուող եկեղեցանուէր աշխատանքը։ Յիշեալ հանդիպումներուն ու այցելութիւններուն ընթացքին Վեհափառ Հայրապետին ընկերացաւ Մեծի Տանն Կիլիկիոյ Կաթողիկոսութեան Միջ-եկեղեցական Յարաբերութեանց բաժանմունքի վարիչ Գերպ.
