Ղազախստանի նախագահ Նուրսուլթան Նազարբաեւը անհիմն է համարում Արեւմուտքում տարածված այն մտայնությունը, որ ԵՏՄ-ի միջոցով Ռուսաստանը փորձում է վերստեղծել Խորհրդային միությունը։

«Եվրոպայում ասում են, որ Ռուսաստանն ուզում է հավաքել Խորհրդային միությունը։ Լրիվ անհեթեթություն է։ Նախ այդ միավորման նախաձեռնողը ես եմ ՝ Նազարբաեւս։ Ես եմ դա առաջարկել ու ես միշտ ասել եմ այդ մասին։ Դա զուտ տնտեսական միություն է»,- ասել է նա «Բլումբերգին» տված հարցազրույցում, որը ցուցադրվել է  «Խաբար» հեռուստաալիքի եթերում նոյեմբերի 25-ի երեկոյան։

Նազարբաեւի խոսքով ԵՏՄ-ում քաղաքականություն չկա ոչ կանոնադրությունում, ոչ համաձայնագրերում, ոչ էլ պայմանագրերում։ «Որոշումները կայացվում են բացարձակ փոխհամաձայնությամբ։ Եթե կողմերից մեկը դեմ է՝ որոշումը չի կայացվում։ Այսինքն դա տնտեսական միություն է, որը մեզ ձեռնտու է»,- շեշտել է նա։

Ղազախստանի նախագահը հիշեցրել է, որ ինքն առաջարկել էր անցկացնել ԵՏՄ երկրների ու ԵՄ-ի համաժողով, որի ընթացքում կողմերը կկարողանային երկու միջպետական միավորումների համագործակցության ուղիներ գտնել։

«Այս հարցով ես դիմել եմ նաեւ Եվրոպական հանձնաժողովին։ Եկեք հավաքվենք Եվրոպայում ու քննարկենք, թե ինչ են ԵՏՄ –ն ու ԵՄ-ն։ Մեծ համաժողով անցկացնենք Բրյուսելում, բացատրենք»,- ասել է Նազարբաեւը։
