 Երևանի Մխիթար Հերացու անվան պետական բժշկական համալսարանում տեղի ունեցավ Հոգաբարձուների խորհրդի 9-րդ նիստը, որի օրակարգում մեկ հարց էր՝ ռեկտորի ընտրությունը: Ինչպես փոխանցում է Արմենպրեսը, ռեկտորի պաշտոնակատար և առաջադրված միակ թեկնածու Արմեն Մուրադյանը հակիրճ ներկայացրեց բուհի զարգացման իր տեսլականը, այնուհետև պատասխանե ց խորհրդի անդամների հարցերին: Հոգաբարձուների խորհրդի 32 անդամներից նիստին ներկա էր 30-ը: Նիստի օրակարգի համաձայն՝ Արմեն Մուրադյանը ներկայացրեց բուհի զարգացման իր ծրագիրը, ըստ որի՝ բժշկական համալսարանն ունի զարգացման 3 հիմնական ուղղություն, դրանք են՝ կրթությունը, բժշկական ծառայությունները և գիտությունը։

Ծրագրի համաձայն՝ կրթության զարգացման նպատակն է հիմնադրամի կրթական մակարդակի բարձրացումը և միջազգային որակի կրթություն տրամադրումը, որի շնորհիվ հնարավոր կլինի հիմնադրամի կրթական օջախները դարձնել տարածաշրջանային կենտրոններ։ Բացի այդ, նախատեսվում է ոչ միայն ավելացնել արտասահմանցի ուսանողների թիվն արդեն իսկ ծանոթ երկրներից, այլև նոր երկրներից ներգրավել ուսանողներ։ Բժշկական ծառայությունների զարգացման հիմնական նպատակն է զարգացնել բժշկական զբոսաշրջությունը՝ տրամադրելով ծառայություններ, որոնք գնային և որակական ցուցանիշներով մրցունակ կլինեն միջազգային շուկանում։ Տվյալ նպատակն իրականացնելու համար նախատեսվում է բարելավել բժշկական ծառայությունների որակը՝ համապատասխանացնելով դրանք միջազգային ստանդարտներին, ինչպես նաև ավելացնել առաջարկվող ծառայությունների ցանկը։

Կարևորելով գիտության դերը, ինչպես կրթության այնպես էլ բժշկական ծառայությունների զարգացման մեջ՝ հիմնադրամն իր առջև նպատակ է դրել զարգացնել գիտական ներուժը՝ դառնալով գիտաբժշկական կենտրոն։ Ամփոփելով նիստը` Հոգաբարձուների խորհրդի նախագահ Արմեն Աշոտյանը շնորհավորեց նորընտիր ռեկտորին՝ նշելով, որ Խորհուդը պատրաստակամ է հնարավորինս աջակցելու բուհի նոր ղեկավարին, կոլեկտիվին և ուսանողությանը` կրթական, գիտական, առողջապահական ու վարչարարական բոլոր ծրագրերի իրականացման գործում:

Կայացած փակ գաղտնի քվեարկության արդյունքում 29 կողմ, 1 դեմ ձայների հարաբերակցությամբ Արմեն Աբգարի Մուրադյանն ընտրվեց Երևանի պետական բժշկական համալսարանի 22-րդ ռեկտոր:
