ՀՀ Վարչապետ Կարեն Կարապետյանն ընդունել է Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Ռիչարդ Միլսին: Զրուցակիցները քննարկել են հայ-ամերիկյան հարաբերություններին վերաբերող տարբեր հարցեր, մտքեր փոխանակել մեր երկրում հակակոռուպցիոն քաղաքականության ու այդ ուղղությամբ իրականացվող երկկողմ փոխգործակցության վերաբերյալ: 

Ինչպես տեղեկացրին ՀՀ կառավարության տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապերի վարչությունից, Կարեն Կարապետյանն անդրադարձել է Կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարի խորհրդի գործունեությանը՝ տեղեկացնելով, որ նախատեսվում է ընդլայնել քաղաքացիական հասարակության ներկայացուցիչների շրջանակը, ինչը կնպաստի նաև հանրության հետ հետադարձ կապի ապահովմանը: Կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարում վարչապետը մեծապես կարևորել է կոռուպցիոն դրսևորումներ ծնող միջավայրի փոփոխությունը և ավելացրել, որ կառավարության յուրաքանչյուր նիսում իր կողմից հնչեցվող հանձնարարականները՝ ուղղված բիզնես միջավայրի բարելավմանը, ծառայությունների մատուցմանը, լիցենզիաների տրամադրմանը, տարբեր ոլորտներում մեկ պատուհանի սկզբունքի ներդրմանը և այլն, միտված են կոռուպցիոն ռիսկերի նվազեցմանը: 

Իր հերթին, դեսպան Միլսը նշել է, որ ամերիկյան կողմը պատրաստ է հակակոռուպցիոն քաղաքականության ուղղությամբ շարունակել օժանդակությունը ՀՀ կառավարությանը, երկարաձգել Կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարին ուղղված երկկողմ համաձայնագրի ժամկետը և անհրաժեշտ համարել նախանշել այն կոնկրետ քայլերն ու ծրագրերը, որոնց իրականացման նպատակով ամերիկյան կողմը պատրաստ է միջոցներ հատկացնել: Դեսպանն ընդգծել է, որ կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարում տարբեր ուղղություններով կառավարությունն ունի ձեռքբերումներ և միաժամանակ կարևորել առարկայական բարեփոխումների շարունակությո ւնը: Ռիչարդ Միլսի խոսքով՝ ԱՄՆ պատրաստ է նաև փորձագիտական աջակցություն տրամադրել դատաիրավական և հարկային բարեփոխումների իրականացման գործում: 

Վարչապետ Կարապետյանը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել համագործակցության համար և նշել, որ կառավարությունն առաջիկայում ԱՄՆ գործընկերներին կներկայացնի փոխշահավետ համագործակցության ուղղությունները:
