Գերմանիայի կանցլեր Անգելա Մերկելը պահանջել Է արագացնել ապաստանի տրամադրման հարցում մերժված փախստականների ուղարկումը հայրենիք այն բանից հետո, երբ ծնունդով Թունիսից Անիս Ամրին Բեռլինի Սուրբծննդյան տոնավաճառում բեռնատարը մխրճեց բազմության մեջ, տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով BBC-ին:    
 
Ելույթ ունենալով «Պաշտոնյաների գերմանական միություն» արհմիութենական միավորման համագումարում՝ Մերկելն ասել Է, որ Գերմանիայի միգրացիոն քաղաքականության մեջ անհրաժեշտ են միջոցներ, որոնք թույլ կտան տուն ուղարկել այն միգրանտներին, որոնց ապաստանի տրամադրման խնդրագիրը մերժվել Է: 
 
Մերկելը հորդորել Է գործադրել բոլոր ջանքերը եւ երաշխավորել, որ ապաստան ստացած միգրանտները կինտեգրվեն գերմանական հասարակության մեջ, իսկ մնացածները կհեռանան երկրից:  
 
Ապաստանի տրամադրումը մերժվել Էր 24-ամյա Ամրիին, որը դեկտեմբերի 19-ին Բեռլինի կենտրոնում բազմատոննանոց բեռնատարն ուղղեց մարդկանց վրա: Գրոհի զոհ դարձավ 12 մարդ: Թունիսցին ինքն ավելի ուշ գնդակահարվեց Միլանում:
