Երևանի քաղաքապետի տեղակալ Վահե Նիկոյանը հանդիպել է մայրաքաղաքում երթուղային նոր ցանցի ձևավորման «Դաբլյու Վայ Ջի Ինթերնեյշնլ լիմիթիդ» խորհրդատվական ընկերության տնօրեն Ռիչարդ Բարլեյի հետ: Մայրաքաղաքի երթուղային նոր ցանցի մշակման խորհրդատու ընկերության հետ մեկնարկային հանդիպմանը մասնակցել են նաև ենթախորհրդատուներ «Ամերիա» ՓԲ և «Ֆիմոշնս» ընկերությունների ներկայացուցիչները: Ընկերության հետ կնքված պայմանագրով առաջիկայում կմշակվի երթուղային նոր ցանց, ինչպես նաև ինտեգրված սակագնի և տոմսային համակարգ:

Կարևորելով մայրաքաղաքում երթուղային նոր ցանցի ստեղծման անհրաժեշտությունը՝ Վահե Նիկոյանն ընդգծել է, որ տրանսպորտային բարեփոխումները մայրաքաղաքի բնակչությանը հուզող ամենակարևոր խնդիրներից  են, որի մասին վկայում են վերջին սոցհարցումները, ըստ այդմ, Երևանի քաղաքապետարանի համար խնդրի լուծման գործնական փուլին անցնելը նաև օրակարգային է: Վահե Նիկոյանը նաև մանրամասնել է մայրաքաղաքում երթուղային ցանցի խնդիրները, ներկայացրել նախորդ խորհրդատուի կողմից կատարված աշխատանքը: 
«Գործող տրանսպորտային համակարգն արդյունավետ չէ, և շուրջ 2 տարի առաջ այս ուղղությամբ սկսված գործընթացի արդյունքներն ու ձեռքբերումները մեզ համար, ցավոք, բավարար չեն: Այժմ, նոր խորհրդատուի առկայությամբ մենք ակնկալում ենք, որ բարեփոխումները կմտնեն գործնական փուլ և դրանք առաջին հերթին պետք է սկսվեն երթուղային նոր ցանցի տեխնիկական մշակումից: Նշեմ, որ կան որոշակի ուսումնասիրություններ, այդ թվում ուղևորահոսքի և առկա վիճակի վերաբերյալ: Մենք գնում ենք համակարգային բարեփոխումների և ակնկալում ենք ունենալ լիարժեք, արդյունավետ ցանց, որը հիմնված կլինի մանրամասն ուսումնասիրությունների վրա, հնարավորին կբացառվեն կրկնվող երթուղագծերը՝ դրանով իսկ բարձրացնելով արդյունավետությունը: Բացի այդ, կարևոր է, որ, մեր բնակչությանը հնարավորին քիչ անհարմարություններ պատճառելով, ձևավորենք և ունենանք միջազգային չափորոշիչներին համապատասխանող և առավելագույն արդյունավետ երթուղային նոր ցանց», - ընդգծել է Վահե Նիկոյանը՝ հատկանշելով, որ քաղաքապետարանն իր լիազորության շրջանակում պատրաստակամ է աջակցելու աշխատանքներին:
«Դաբլյու Վայ Ջի Ինթերնեյշնլ լիմիթիդ» խորհրդատվական ընկերության տնօրեն Ռիչարդ Բարլեյը, շնորհակալություն հայտնելով հանդիպման համար, նշել է, որ ընկերությունը, սկզբնական ուսումնասիրման փուլում ծանոթանալով գործող ցանցին և խնդիրներին, առաջիկա ամիսներին դրանք կամփոփի և կկազմի երթուղային նոր ցանցի նախնական առաջարկը: 
Հանդիպմանը նշվել է, որ Երևանի քաղաքապետի հանձնարարությամբ կձևավորվի նաև միջգերատեսչական հանձաժողով: Ընկերության կողմից մշակված առաջարկները ներկայացվելու են նաև հանրային քննարկման՝ հաշվի առնելու, թե որքանով են դրանք արդյունավետ և ընդունելի բնակչության համար:
