Հարավային Կորեայի դատախազությունը Samsung ընկերությունների խմբի փոխնախագահ եւ փաստացի ղեկավար Լի Չժե Ենին ձերբակալելու կալանագիր Է տվել՝ երկրի՝ պաշտոնից հեռացված նախագահ Պակ Կըն Հեի շրջապատում բացահայտված կոռուպցիայի գործով: Այս մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հայտնել Է Associated Press (AP)-ը:  
Գործակալության տվյալներով՝ դատախազությունը նաեւ պաշտոնապես մեղադրանքներ Է առաջադրել առողջապահության նախկին նախարար եւ Ազգային կենսաթոշակային հիմնադրամի (ԱԿՀ) նախագահ Մուն Հեն Փեին, որի ձերբակալումը կատարվել Է 2016 թվականի դեկտեմբերի վերջին: Մուն Հեն Փեն խոստովանել Է ԱԿՀ-ի վրա ճնշում գործադրելը՝ այդ կառույցի կողմից հարավկորեական Samsung ընկերության երկու մասնաճյուղերի ձուլման՝ անցյալ տարվա գործարքին հավանություն տալու նպատակով:    
Լի Չժե Ենը Samsung խմբի փաստացի ղեկավարն Է իր հոր՝ այդ ընկերության նախագահ Լի Գոն Հիի հիվանդության պատճառով: Հետաքննության վարկածով՝ հենց Լի Չժե Ենն Է որոշում ընդունել Չխվե Սուն Սիլին՝ նախագահ Պակ Կըն Հեի մտերիմ ընկերուհուն, ֆինանսական աջակցություն ցույց տալու մասին՝ իշխանությունների կողմից տարբեր զիջումների փոխարեն՝ ավելի արդյունավետորեն գործարարություն վարելու համար :
 
Մասնավորապես, կորպորացիան ավելի քան 18 միլիոն դոլար Է փոխանցել Գերմանիայում գրանցված ֆիրմայի հաշիվներին, որը պատկանում Է Չխվե Սուն Սիլին եւ նրա դստերը, այդ ընկերության կողմից իբր խորհրդատվական ծառայությունների համար: Քննիչների կարծիքով՝ փոխարենը Samsung-ին աջակցություն Է ցույց տրվել դրա մի շարք մասնաճյուղերի միաձուլումն իրականացնելու գործում, որոնց բաժնետոմսերի գլխավոր պահառուն եղել Է պետական Կենսաթոշակային հիմնադրամը, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
