Ղազախստանի մայրաքաղաք Աստանայում հունվարի 23-ին մեկնարկել են Սիրիայի հակամարտության կարգավորմանը նվիրված բանակցությունները: Հանդիպումն ընթանում Է Rixos հյուրանոցում: Ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հղում անելով ՏԱՍՍ-ին, գլխավոր հարցերը, որոնք պետք Է լուծեն պատվիրակությունները, նախ եւառաջ Սիրիայի կառավարության եւ զինված ընդդիմության պատվիրակությունները, հրադադարի ռեժիմի ամրապնդումն Է եւ քաղաքական բանակցային գործընթացի ծավալումը՝ փետրվարի 8-ին Ժնեւում կոնսուլտացիաներ կազմակերպելու համար: Կողմերն աշխատում են նաեւ ամփոփիչ փաստաթղթի ընդունման վրա, սակայն դրա հեռանկարներն առայժմ պարզ չեն: 

Ընդամենը բանակցություններին մասնակցում Է յոթ պատվիրակություն՝ Սիրիայի կառավարության եւ ընդդիմության, զինադադարի վերաբերյալ դեկտեմբերի 29-ի համաձայնագրի երաշխավոր երկրների (Ռուսաստան, Թուրքիա, Իրան) պատվիրակությունները, ՄԱԿ-ի գլխավոր քարտուղարի Սիրիայի խնդրով հատուկ դեսպանորդ Ստաֆան դե Միստուրայի անձնախումբը եւ Ղազախստանում ԱՄՆ-ի դեսպան Ջորջ Քրոլը՝ դիտորդի կարգավիճակով: 
Ռուսաստանի պատվիրակությունը գլխավորում Է ՌԴ նախագահի սիրիական կարգավորման հարցերով հատուկ ներկայացուցիչ Ալեքսանդր Լավրենտեւը, Իրանինը՝ արտաքին գործերի փոխնախարար Հոսեյն Ջաբերի Անսարին, Թուրքիայինը՝ երկրի ԱԳ նախարարության Մերձավոր Արեւելքի եւ Աֆրիկայի գործերով խորհրդականի տեղակալ Սեդաթ Օնարը: Որպես Սիրիայի կառավարության պատվիրակության ղեկավար հանդես Է գալիս ՄԱԿ-ին առընթեր Սիրիայի մշտական ներկայացուցիչ Բաշար Ջաֆարին:
Ընդդիմությունը ներկայացված Է զինված խմբավորումներով, որոնք գործում են նախեւառաջ երկրի հյուսիսում եւ կենտրոնական մասում, մասամբ՝ հարավում: Գլխավոր բանակցորդներից մեկը «Ջեյշ ալ Իսլամ»-ի ներկայացուցիչ Մուհամեդ Ալյուշն Է: 
Նախատեսվում Է, որ բանակցությունները կավարտվեն հունվարի 24-ին, պլանավորված Է ամփոփիչ մամուլի ասուլիս: Աստանայի հանդիպման կազմակերպիչները եւ դրա մասնակիցները չեն բացառում, որ անհրաժեշտության դեպքում աշխատանքը կարող Է երկարացվել:
