ՀՀ տարածքային կառավարման և զարգացման նախարար Դավիթ Լոքյանը հունվարի 26-ին ընդունել է Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետության (ԻԻՀ) «Արաս» ազատ առևտրի գոտու գործադիր տնօրեն, տնօրենների խորհրդի նախագահ Մոհսեն Արաբ Բաղիի գլխավորած պատվիրակությանը: Հանդիպմանը ներկա էին նաև ՀՀ-ում ԻԻՀ արտակարգ և լիազոր դեսպան Սեյեդ Քազեմ Սաջադիին, Իսլամական խորհրդարանի պատգամավորներ Մոհամմադ Հասան Նեժադը և հայազգի Կարեն Խանլարյանը:
 
Ինչպեստեղեկացրին ՀՀ տարածքային կառավարման և զարգացման նախարարության հասարակայնության հետ կապերի բաժնից, ողջունելով պատվիրակության անդամներին՝ նախարար Լոքյանը կարևորել է Հայաստան–ԻԻՀ հարաբերությունների ամրապնդումն ու զարգացման նոր հնարավորությունները, և այդ համատեքստում ընդգծել Սյունիքում ազատ տնտեսական գոտի (ԱՏԳ) ստեղծելու ՀՀ կառավարության նախաձեռնությունը: Նախարարի խոսքով, նման տնտեսական գոտու ստեղծումը լուրջ խթան կլինի երկու երկրների առևտրատնտեսական հարաբերությունների զարգացման համար:
 
«Մենք մեր երկրում ունենք ազատ տնտեսական գոտիներ, սակայն իրանական փորձը կարող էընդունելի և օրինակելի լինել մեզ համար: Մենք Իրանին տալիս ենք նաև լավագույն գործիքը` ԵԱՏՄ երկրներ ապրանքներ արտահանելու հնարավորություն` ազատելով ավելացված արժեքիհարկից և այլ մաքսատուրքերից»,- նշել է Դավիթ Լոքյանը:
 
 
Շնորհակալություն հայտնելով նախարարին հանդիպման հնարավորության և ջերմ ընդունելության համար՝ դեսպան Սաջադին համակարծիք է եղել, որ ազատ առևտրի գոտու ստեղծումը երկու երկրների սահմանակից շրջանների տնտեսական զարգացման համար լուրջ գործոն է: Արդյունաբերություն, անասնապահություն, գյուղատնտեսություն, ջերմոցային տնտեսություն, զբոսաշրջություն, ձեռարվեստ. ահա այս ուղղություններով համագործակցելու հստակ առաջարկներ է ներկայացրել «Արաս» ազատ առևտրի գոտու գործադիր տնօրեն Մոհսեն Արաբ Բաղին:
 
Դավիթ Լոքյանն իր հերթին անդրադարձել է երկու երկրների ազատ տնտեսական գոտիների միջև ամբողջական մոդելի ստեղծման գաղափարին, և այդ հարցում կարևորել հայ-իրանական բազմադարյա բարեկամական կապերի առկայությունը:
 
Հանդիպման ավարտին կողմերը վերահաստատել են փոխգործակցության նոր ոլորտներ սահմանելու և համագործակցությունը խորացնելու իրենց պատրաստակամությունը:
