Հայկական զինված ուժերի գլխավոր շտաբի պետ Մովսես Հակոբյանը վստահեցնում է, որ բանակի գործողություններն ուղղված են պատերազմի վերսկսումը կանխելուն: «ՀՀ-ն երբեք չի հայտարարել, որ պատրաստվում է պատերազմի, մենք ունենք այն հնարավորությունը, որ ցանկացած թիրախ, որը մեզ համար անհրաժեշտ կլինի խոցել Ադրբեջանի տարածքում, կարող ենք իրականացնել 15 մետր ճշգրտությամբ»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` ասաց Մովսես Հակո բյանը:

Նախագահական նստավայրում լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ՀՀ ԶՈՒ ԳՇ պետը, անդրադառնալով պատերազմի վերսկսման հավանականության վերաբերյալ հարցին, ընդգծեց, որ ապրիլյան գործողությունները ևս մեկ քննություն էին, որտեղ զինված ուժերն իր առաքելությունը կատարեց պատշաճ կերպով` ևս մեկ անգամ ապացուցելով, որ ի վիճակ է, կարող է ապահովել մեր ժողովրդի անվտանգությունը: 25 տարվա հաջողությունն այն է, որ այսօրվա զինվորը լիարժեք փոխարինեց ավագ սերնդին:

Հարցին, թե պատերազմող  երկրի համար ճի՞շտ է պաշտպանության նախարարի պաշտոնում քաղաքացիական անձի նշանակելը, Մովսես Հակոբյանն ասաց, որ ՀՀ պաշպանության նախարարի պաշտոնը քաղաքացական պաշտոն է եղել և նախկինում այդ պաշտոնին երեք անգամ զինվորական է նշանակվել, երեք անգամ քաղաքացիական անձ: «Դա մեր Սահմանադրությամբ է սահմանված, որտեղ հստակեցված է պաշտպանության նախարարության և գլխավոր շտաբի խնդիրը և որևէ հակասող կամ իրար խանգարող, խոչընդոտող գործողություն չկա և չի էլ կարող լինել»,- եզրափակեց ՀՀ ԶՈՒ ԳՇ պետը:
