Փետրվարի 4-ը Facebook սոցիալական ցանցի ծննդյան օրն է։ Ուղիղ 13 տարի առաջ Հարվարդի ուսանողներից մեկը՝ Մարկ Ցուկերբերգն իր սենյակում նստած գործի դրեց  Thefacebook սոցիալական ցանցը՝ Հարվարդի ուսանողների համար։

2006-ին  Thefacebook-ը դարձավ բոլորին հասանելի և վերանվանվեց պարզապես Facebook։ Այսօր այն համարվում է 5 ամենահայտնի սոցիալական ցանցերից մեկը։
