«Իրատես» թերթը գրում է.

«Երբ պաշտպանության նախկին նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանը քաղաքականությամբ զբաղվելու հայտ ներկայացրեց ու Ֆեյսբուքում հակաիշխանական ելույթներ ունեցավ, շատերը տարակուսեցին, թե ինչպես երեկվա պաշտոնյան մեկ օրում կոշտ ընդդիմադիր դարձավ։ Հասարակությունը հազիվ թե հավատար մարդկային այդպիսի «բարեշրջմանը»։


Սակայն Սեյրան Օհանյանի քաղաքական դեռ չկայացած ուժին ամենամեծ հարվածն առջևում էր։ Ավելի պարզ. նրա թիմում հայտնվել են մարդիկ ու ստվերային դերակատարներ, ովքեր Օհանյանի թողտվությամբ գործընթացները տանում են իրենց ցանկացած հունով։


Այլ խոսքով, Սեյրան Օհանյանն ընդամենը «խաղալիք» է դարձել վերջիններիս ձեռքին, ինչպես ուզում են, նավի ղեկը թեքում են։ Մամուլն արդեն գրեց, որ այս դաշինքում թելադրող է դարձել Սամվել Բաբայանը, որը ցուցակ կազմելու ակտիվ աշխատանքներ է իրականացնում և առաջին հորիզոնականներում ցուցակագրում Վարդան Օսկանյանի թիմակիցներին։

Մեր աղբյուրի պնդմամբ, այն ուժերը, որոնք համաձայն չեն բաբայանական դասավորումներին, մտավախություն ունեն, որ, ի վերջո, այս դաշինքը ծառայելու է Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանին ու նրա քաղաքական ծրագրերին։ Դրա համար մի կողմ են քաշվել ու փոշմանել, որ երբևէ հույսեր են կապել Սեյրան Օհանյանի հետ։ Փաստորեն, պաշտպանության նախկին նախարարը նպատակ ունի Ռոբերտ Քոչարյանին «վերակենդանացնելու», շատ լավ իմանալով, թե հասարակության շրջանում ինչպիսի գնահատական կա վերջինիս վերաբերյալ։


Արդեն իսկ վստահություն չվայելող Օհանյանի այս դաշինքը նման հանգուցալուծման դեպքում վերջնականապես կարժեզրկվի հանրության աչքում։ Այս ողջ իրարանցումը ցույց է տալիս նաև, որ եթե Սեյրան Օհանյանը մի քանի ուժերով դաշինք չի կարողանում «թամամ» ղեկավարել, ու նրան թելադրում են տարբեր մարդիկ, էլ ինչպես է երկրում ինչ-որ բան փոխելու հավակնություններ ներկայացնում»:
