Եվրախորհրդարանում ներկայացված ամենամեծ խմբակցության անդամ քրիստոնեա-դեմոկրատ խորհրդարանականները պատրաստել են Եվրամիության ապագային առնչվող հինգ հոդվածից բաղկացած առաջարկ, որով նաև նախատեսվում է հրաժարվել ԵՄ-ին Թուրքիայի անդամակցությունից: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը, այս մասին տեղեկացնում է գերմանական Süddeutsche Zeitung պարբերականը:

Խորհրդարանականների առաջարկը մի շարք արմատական փոփոխություններ է նախատեսում Եվրամիության համար: Մասնավորապես, առաջարկվում է փոքրացնել Եվրահանձնաժողովը:

Süddeutsche Zeitung-ի կողմից ձեռք բերված առաջարկի տեքստում կոչ է արվում նաև այլևս հույս չտալ Թուրքիային ԵՄ-ին անդամակցելու հարցում: «ԵՄ անդամ կարող են դառնալ միայն այն երկրները, որոնք աշխարհագրական տեսանկյունից մեծ մասով Եվրոպայի տարածքում են: Թուրքիան չի կարող լինել ԵՄ լիիրավ անդամ. դա կրիտիկական կլինի թե՛ ԵՄ, թե՛ Թուրքիայի տեսանկյունից»,- ասվում է առաջարկում: Խմբակցությունը նախատեսում է, որ Թուրքիան ԵՄ շրջանակում կարող է միայն լինել «մի օղակ ԵՄ գործընկեր երկրների շղթայում»:

Ակնկալվում է, որ քրիստոնեա-դեմոկրատների առաջարկը պետք է քվեարկության դրվի Եվրոպական ժողովրդական կուսակցության խորհրդարանական խմբակցության կողմից:
