ՌԴ տրանսպորտի նախարար Մաքսիմ Սոկոլովը վստահեցնում է, որ ԵԱՏՄ շրջանակում նպատակաուղղված աշխատանք է տարվում տնտեսական ինտեգրացիայի խորացման ուղղությամբ, որը նաեւ անդրադառնում է տրանսպորտային ոլորտի ծառայություններին: 

Այս մասին նա ասաց Հայաստանում մեկնարկած Եվրասիական տնտեսական միության (ԵԱՏՄ) անդամ պետությունների տրանսպորտի բնագավառի լիազոր մարմինների ղեկավարների 6-րդ խորհրդակցության շրջանակում:

«Նախ կարող եմ ասել՝ ուրախ եմ, որ խորհրդակցությունն անցկացվում է հայկական հողի վրա, շատ հաճելի է տեսնել այս հյուրընկալությունը: Իհարկե, միասնական ինտեգրացիոն տարածքի ձեւավորումը ենթադրում է ոչ միայն համաձայնեցված տրանսպորտային քաղաքակություն, այլեւ ամուր տրանսպորտային կապերի ձեւավորում եւ զարգացում. դա վերաբերում է ցամաքային, ջրային, ծովային, ինչպես նաեւ ավիացիոն կապերին: Նախքան խորհրդակցությունը գործընկերների հետ խոսում էինք անդամ պետությունների մայրաքաղաքների միջեւ ուղիղ օդային հաղորդակցություն կազմակերպելու անհրաժեշտութ յան մասին, որպեսզի նախեւառաջ մեր բիզնեսի, զբոսաշրջիկների համար հարմար լինի: Հասկանում եմ, որ  Հայաստանի համար հիմնական հարցը ավտոմոբիլային է փոխադրումն է»,-նշեց նա:

Անդրադառնալով Վրաստանի ներգրավվածությանը գործընթացին՝ նախարարը նշեց, որ միությունը բաց է բոլոր գործընկերների համար: «Սա բաց ձեւաչափ է նրանց համար, ովքեր նույնպես ձգտում են տնտեսական ինտեգրացիայի, փոխադարձ շահավետության եւ տնտեսական արդյունավետության: Հասկանալի է, որ Հայաստանը միգուցե եզակի դիրք է զբաղեցնում (բացառությամբ օդային կապերի)` չունենալով այլ ուղիղ տրանսպորտային կապեր ԵԱՏՄ անդամ պետությունների հետ: Այդ իսկ պատճառով մենք նպատակաուղղված ենք աշխատելու միմյանց աջակցելու, այլ պետությունների հետ բանակցություններ վարելու ուղղությամբ, որպեսզի թեթեւացնենք տրանսպորտային հաղորդակցության այս անհարմարությունը»,-եզրափակեց ռուս նախարարը:
