Արեւմտյան երկրները մշտապես հրահրում են Ռուսաստանին եւ ձգտում են նրան ներքաշել առճակատման մեջ: Այդ մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը, հայտարարել Է Ռուսաստանի նախագահ Վլադիմիր Պուտինը:
 
«ՆԱՏՕ-ի՝ անցյալ տարվա հուլիսին Վարշավայում կայացած գագաթնաժողովում 1989 թվականից ի վեր առաջին անգամ Ռուսաստանը ճանաչվեց դաշինքի անվտանգության հիմնական սպառնալիք, իսկ նրա զսպումը պաշտոնապես հռչակված Է ՆԱՏՕ-ի նոր առաքելություն»,-ասել Է նա՝ ելույթ ունենալով Անվտանգության դաշնային ծառայության կոլեգիայում: Պետության ղեկավարի խոսքով՝ այդ նպատակով իրականացվում Է դաշինքի հետագա ընդլայնումը: 
 
Նա նաեւ ուշադրություն Է դարձրել ՆԱՏՕ-ի մեջ մտնող առաջատար պետությունների ազգային սահմաններից դուրս ռազմավարական եւ սովորական սպառազինությունների տեղաբաշխման գործընթացի արագացման վրա: «Մեզ մշտապես հրահրում են եւ ձգտում են ներքաշել առճակատման մեջ»,-ասել Է նախագահը:
 
ՌԴ նախագահը հայտարարել Է, որ անցյալ տարի աշխարհի իրադրությունն ավելի հանգիստ չի դարձել, իսկ շատ հիմնախնդիրներ միայն սրվել են: Մասնավորապես, պետության ղեկավարը նշել Է, որ ուժեղացել Է ռազմաքաղաքական եւ տնտեսական մրցակցությունը ազդեցության գլոբալ եւ տարածաշրջանային կենտրոնների, առանձին պետությունների միջեւ: Այդ կապակցությամբ նախագահը հայտարարել Է, որ ԱԴԾ-ի աշխատանքի որակի եւ արդյունավետության նկատմամբ պահանջները շարունակ աճում են, հաղորդել Է «Ինտերֆաքս»-ը:
