«Հայկական ժամանակ» թերթը գրում է.

«Հայաստանի ֆինանսական անցուդարձին հետեւող մասնագետների մոտ մեր բանկային համակարգի տարեկան տվյալները տարակուսանք են առաջացրել: Խնդիրն այն է, որ 2016 թ. մեր բանկերի տրամադրած վարկային փաթեթը աճել է մոտ մեկ միլիարդ դոլարով:

Եթե շատ կոպիտ ու պատկերավոր նկարագրենք, միայն անցած տարի տնտեսության մեջ պետք է ներարկված լիներ լրացուցիչ մոտ մեկ միլիարդ դոլար, որն էլ պետք է էականորեն աշխուժացներ մեր տնտեսությունը: Ներարկումը եղել է, բայց աշխուժացում չկա: Թե ինչ են եղել այդ գումարները, այնքան էլ հասկանալի չէ: Դրա մի փոքր մասը, իհարկե,  գնացել է սպառմանը, ասենք, սպառողական վարկերի տեսքով` մարդիկ վարկ են վերցրել ու հեռուստացույց կամ սառնարան գնել:

 Բայց դա մի չնչին մասն է: Կան կարծիքներ այն մասին, որ մի զգալի գումար ուղղակի դուրս է եկել Հայաստանից եւ ներդրվել այլ երկրներում: Օրինակ, մարդիկ բանկում գրավ են դրել իրենց անշարժ գույքը, վարկ վերցրել ու ասենք հյուրանոց են կառուցում Վրաստանում: Ընդհանրապես, մեր բանկային համակարգի տվյալները  տարօրինակ անհամապատասխանության մեջ են տնտեսական իրավիճակի հետ»:
