Մարդկանց մեծամասնությունը ձմռանը բազմաթիվ սխալներ է անում, որոնք կարող են նաև վտանգավոր լինել։

1.      Շատերը քիթն ու բերանը շարֆով են ծածկում։ Այսպես անել պետք չէ, քանի որ քթի ու բերանի արանքում սառույցի շերտ է ձևավորվում, ինչի պատճառով ավելի շատ սառնություն եք շնչում։ Ինչպես նաև շարֆից շնչելը շատ դժվար է, և մարդիկ ստիպված են լինում սառն օդը բերանով շնչել։ Ձմռանը պետք է փորձել միայն քթով շնչել ու քիչ ժամանակ անցկացնել դրսում։

2.      Տանից դուրս գալուց առաջ պետք չէ տաք ըմպելիքներ խմել։ Իհարկե, դրանք տաքացնում են, սակայն պետք չէ մոռանալ, որ դրանք նաև լայնացնում են արյան անոթները։ Դա նշանակում է, որ ավելի արագ կմրսեք։ Բժիշկները խորհուրդ են տալիս տանից դուրս գալուց  30-40 րոպե առաջ տաք ըմպելիքներ օգտագործել։

5.      Սառցահարվելու դեպքում պետք չէ ձյունով շփել մաշկը։ Ձյան բյուրեղները միայն վնասում են մաշկը։ Ինչպես նաև չի կարելի տաք ջուր լցնել սառցահարված մաշկին։ Պետք է ջերմամեկուսացնող վիրակապ դնել՝ դա կարող է շարֆ կամ վերարկու լինել, և արագ մասնագետի դիմել։
