ԱՄՆ-ի Կենտրոնական հետախուզական վարչությունը Wikileaks կայքին մեղադրել Է այն բանում, որ նրա հրապարակումները, որոնցում, ինչպես պնդում են դրանց հեղինակները, բացահայտվում են ամերիկյան հատուկ ծառայությունների հաքերական հնարքները, սպառնաիքի տակ են դնում ամերիկացիների անվտանգությունը, տեղեկացնում Է BBC-ին: 
 
«Ամերիկյան հասարակայնությունը պետք Է խիստ մտահոգվի Wikileaks-ի ամեն տեսակ արտահոսքերից, որոնք միտված են այն բանին, որ վնաս հացնեն ԱՄՆ-ն ահաբեկիչներից եւ այլ թշնամիներից պաշտպանելու հատուկ ծառայությունների կարողությանը»,- հայտարարել Է ԿՀՎ-ի պաշտոնական ներկայացուցիչ Ֆրից Հոռնիաքը: 
 
Նա ոչ հաստատել, ոչ Էլ հերքել Է հրապարակված փաստաթղթերի հավաստիությունը: 
Հետաքննություների դաշնային բյուրոն եւ ԿՀՎ-ն համատեղ քրեական հետաքննություն են սկսել գաղտնի տեղեկատվության արտահոսքի փաստով, որի հետեւում կարող Է կանգնած լինել որեւԷ փախստակ կամ գործող լրտես: 
 
Wikileaks-ի կայքը մարտի 7-ին հազարավոր փաստաթղթեր Է զետեղել, որոնք, ըստ հրապարակման հեղինակների, բացահայտում են այն հաքերական հնարքները, որոնց դիմում Է Կենտրոնական հետախուզական վարչությունը: Այդ փաստաթղթերում խնդրո առարկան, մասնավորապես, համակարգիչների եւ սմարթֆոնների համար վիրուսների, ինչպես նաեւ այն ծրագրային ապահովման մասին Է, որը «խելացի» հեռուստացույցները վերածում Է գաղտնալսող սարքերի:   
 
Այդ մեծածավալ փաստաթղթերի համաձայն՝ կիբեռզենքի զինանոցում, որն իբր ունի ԱՄՆ-ի Կենտրոնական հետախուզական վարչությունը, կան վիրուսներ, որոնք կարող են վարակել Windows, Android, iOS, OSX եւ Linux գործառական համակարգերով աշխատող համակարգիչները, ինչպես նաեւ ինտերնետ-ռոութերները: 
 
Այդ ծրագրային ապահովման մի մասն, ինչպես պնդվում Է, մշակվել Է Միացյալ Նահանգներում, սակայն Մեծ Բրիտանիայի ՄԻ-5 հետախուզությունն ամերիկացիներին օգնել Է Samsung հեռուստացույցներ ներթափանցելու համար սոֆթվերի մշակման գործում: 
 
Wikileaks-ը հայտարարում Է, որ իր աղբյուրը կայքին հաղորդել Է այս տեղեկատվությունը, որպեսզի բանավեճ նախաձեռնի այն մասին, թե ԿՀՎ-ի հաքերական հնարավորությունները դուրս չեն գալիս արդյոք այդ կազմակերպության՝ օրենքով սահմանված լիազորությունների շրջանակներից:
