Սիրիայում 6 տարիների հակամարտության հետևանքով սպանվել է մոտ 320 հազար մարդ, իսկ 150 հազար մարդ անհայտ կորել է: Արմենպրեսի հաղորդմամբ` մարտի 18-ին լրագրողների հետ հանդիպման ժամանակ այս մասին ասաց ԵՊՀ Հայագիտական հետազոտությունների ինստիտուտի հայ-քրդական առնչությունների բաժնի գիտաշխատող, արաբագետ Սար գիս Գրիգորյանը:

«Այս անկանխատեսելի և անվերահսկելի իրավիճակում մեկ բան է պարզ, որ 2017 թվականին չի հանգուցալուծվի այս հակամարտությունը, քանզի Սիրիայում դեռևս կան բազմաթիվ հարցեր, որոնք լուծումներ են պահանջում՝ սկսած «Իսլամական պետություն»-ից մինչև քրդական գործոն»,- ասաց Գրիգորյանը:

Նրա խոսքով`«Իսլամական պետություն» ահաբեկչական խմբավորումը փոխում է իր մարտավարությունը:

«Ահաբեկիչները փորձում են  խոշոր քաղաքներից դուրս գալ  և պարտիզանական կռիվների միջոցով շարունակել պայքարը: Նրանց վերջնական ոչնչացման մասին դեռևս վաղ է խոսելը: Կարծում եմ, որ «Իսլամական պետության» վերջնական ջախջախումը կլինի  ոչ թե Սիրիայում, այլ Իրաքում»,- ասաց Գրիգորյանը և հավելեց, որ Իրաքի հինգ քաղաք գտնվում է ԻՊ վերահսկողության ներքո:

Սիրիական հակամարտությունը սկսվել է 2011 թվականի մարտի 15-ին: 2016 թվականի փետրվարի 27-ից գործում է հրադադար, որը չի վերաբերում այն խմբավորումներին, որոնք ՄԱԿ-ի կողմից ճանաչվել են ահաբեկչական։
