 Վիետնամում ՀՀ դեսպան Ռաիսա Վարդանյանը մարտի 19-ին այցելեց Վիետնամի Հայֆոն քաղաք, որտեղ հանդիպումներ ունեցավ Հայֆոնի քաղաքային կոմիտեի նախագահի տեղակալ, Հայֆոնի քաղաքապետ Լե Թան Սոնին, Հայաստան-Վիետնամ բարեկամության խմբի նախագահ Նգույեն Վան Տուանին (Ն.Վ. Տուանը նախկինում երկար տարիներ եղել է Հայֆոնի քաղաքային խորհրդի նախագահը) և խմբի անդամներին, տեղի գործարարներին, Վիետնամում ՀՀ պատվավոր հյուպատոս Չան Դան Տուանին, ինչպես նաև այցելեց Հայֆոնի նավահանգիստ և Դին Վու արդյունաբերական ազատ գոտի: 

Ինչպես տեղեկանում ենք ՀՀ արտաքին գործերի նախարարության մամուլի, տեղեկատվության և հասարակայնության հետ կապի վարչությունից, Հայֆոնի քաղաքային խորհրդի շենքում տեղի ունեցավ պաշտոնական հանդիպում քաղաքի ղեկավարության հետ։ Դեսպան Վարդանյանն իր ելույթում ներկայացրեց հաստատուն զարգացող հայ-վիետնամական հարաբերությունները, ինչպես նաև շնորհավորեց հավաքվածներին՝ երկու երկրների միջև դիվանագիտական հարաբերությունների հաստատման 25–ամյակի կապակցությամբ: Կարևորվեց նաև Հայաստան-Վիետնամ բարեկամության խմբի ջանքերը երկու երկրների միջև կապերի սերտացման գործում:

Հայաստանի և Վիետնամի միջև առևտրաշրջանառությունն ավելացնելու, համատեղ ձեռնարկությունների ստեղծումն ու փոքր և միջին բիզնեսների համագործակցությունը խթանելու նպատակով դեսպան Վարդանյանն առաջարկեց 2017թ-ի ընթացքում Հայֆոնում կամ Հայաստանում կազմակերպել հայ-վիետնամական գործարար ֆորում, ինչպես նաև սկսել Հայֆոնը՝ Հայաստանի քաղաքներից մեկի հետ համագործակցության հուշագրի ստորագրման գործընթացը, որը գոհունակությամբ ընդունվեց քաղաքի իշխանությունների կողմից:

Հայֆոնը Հոշիմինից հետո Վիետնամի ամենախոշոր նավահանգիստն է և համարվում է Վիետնամի արագ զարգացող տնտեսության կարևորագույն կենտրոններից մեկը, որտեղ տեղկայված են արդյունաբերական և լոգիստիկ ազատ գոտիներ:
