Հայաստանի ֆուտբոլի ազգային թիմի ավագ Հենրիխ Մխիթարյանը կարծիքով հավաքականը գոլերից հետո խաղի թելը վերցրեց իր ձեռքը:

«Առաջին խաղակեսում վատ հանդես չկանք, պարզապես չօգտագործեցինք մեր գոլային պահերը: Երկրորդ կեսում ստացվեց հակառակը: Մինչև գոլերը մի քիչ պասիվ էինք, ստացվեց գոլ խփել, որն ամենակարևորն էր: Գոլերից հետո խաղի թելը մեր ձեռքում էր: Չեմ կարող ասել, որ Գևորգ Ղազարյանի վնասվածքը փոխեց թիմի պլանները: Տիգրան Բարսեղյանը վատ հանդես չկավ, ակտիվ էր, փորձում էր թիմին օգնել: Բայց առավել կարևորը է Գևորգ Ղազարյանի առաջությունը, քանի այս հաղթանակը: Ես միշտ փորձում եմ լավագույն հանդես գալ, բայց ես միշտ չեմ կարող հավաքականին առաջ տանել: Տղաները պետք է կարողա նան պատասխանատվությունը իրենց վրա վերցնել»,-լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասաց Մխիթարյանը:

Խոսելով երկրպագուների աջակցության մասին Մխիթարյանը շեշտեց, որ միշտ էլ հաճելի է լեցուն տրիբունաներ տեսնել: «Առավել հաճելի կլինի տեսնել ավելի լեցուն մարզադաշտ: Մենք խաղում են նրանց համար, մենք ապրում ենք նրանց համար»,-ասաց կիսապաշտպանը:

Մխիթարյանը դարձավ այն բացառիկ ֆուտբոլիստը, ով 20-ից ավել գոլ է խփել ազգային թիմի կազմում: Խոսելով այս մասին Մխիթարյանը փաստեց. «Շատ ուրախ եմ դրա համար: Հաճելի է գոլեր խփել հավաքականի կազմում»,-ասաց նա:

Հայաստանի ազգային թիմը` աշխարհի առաջնության ընտրական փուլում Հենրիխ Մխիթարյաի և Արազ Օզբիլիսի գոլերի շնորհիվ պարտության մատնեց Ղազախստանի թիմին:
