Հայաստանը և Եվրոպական միությունը Արևելյան գործընկերության առաջիկա գագաթնաժողովի ընթացքում նախատեսում են ստորագրել Համապարփակ և ընդլայնված գործընկերության համաձայնագիրը:

Մալթայում կայացած Եվրոպական ժողովրդական կուսակցության համագումարի ընթացքում ունեցած ելույթի ժամանակ այս մասին նշեց ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը:

«Ուրախությամբ պետք է արձանագրեմ, որ այս տարին շատ ակտիվ սկսվեց Հայաստան-Եվրոպական միություն հարաբերությունների տեսանկյունից: Փետրվարի վերջին տեղի ունեցավ հիրավի պատմական իրադարձություն. Բրյուսելում նախագահ Տուսկի հետ միասին մենք ազդարարեցինք մեր երկկողմ հարաբերությունները կարգավորող նոր իրավական փաստաթղթի՝ Համապարփակ և ընդլայնված գործընկերության համաձայնագրի շուրջ բանակցությունների ավարտը:

Իսկ ընդամենը մեկ շաբաթ առաջ՝ արդեն Երևանում, կողմերը նախաստորագրեցին այն: Նախատեսում ենք Արևելյան գործընկերության առաջիկա գագաթնաժողովին ստորագրել այս կարևոր փաստաթուղթը՝ ապավինելով նաև մեր գործընկերների աջակցությանը։ Ուժի մեջ մտնելուց հետո այն նոր էջ կբացի Հայաստան-Եվրոպական միություն հարաբերություններում՝ ամրապնդելով դրանց ինստիտուցիոնալ հիմքը, ստեղծելով նոր հնարավորություններ մեր գործընկերության ընդլայնման և խորացման համար»,- ընդգծեց Հանրապետության Նախագահը: 

Սերժ Սարգսյանը շեշտեց, որ Հայաստան-Եվրոպական միություն գործընկերությունը հաջողության պատմություն է, հաջողված գործընկերության մոդել, որը մի կողմից Հայաստանի՝ եվրոպական օրակարգի հետևողականության, մյուս կողմից վերջին տարիներին Եվրոպական միության՝ Արևելյան գործընկերության երկրների հետ անհատական գործընկերություն զարգացնելու նոր մոտեցման արդյունք է:

«Այս գործընթացում Հայաստանը սեփական փորձով ցույց տվեց, որ հնարավոր է համադրել տարբեր ինտեգրացիոն գործընթացներ՝ յուրաքանչյուրից քաղելով և յուրաքանչյուրին տալով դրականը և օգտակարը, ինչը միավորում է պետություններին, այլ ոչ թե բաժանում»,- ամփոփեց ՀՀ Նախագահը:
